Thanks - It looks like maybe you bend the tabs up and the cover will slide off (or the tabs will just break or be impossible to bend!!)

I am asking about disassembly of the cylinder itself. Is the cover just crimped on? Can it be easily removed and swapped with a satin one?

I'm wondering how difficult it is to swap out the cover of my ignition cylinder. I have an NOS one I installed when I did my restoration but it is chrome. I have a 70 so it should be satin. I have a perfect satin cylinder so I was wondering how hard it is to swap the cover over.

What condition is the front cover lip in? You can't see it in the pictures.

Communication was great. The buckles were in decent shape...I don't recall if they were rechromed or just polished.

July 2023 - Little under $900 for front and back for a 70 Cuda Convertible. They did them in around 3 months.

Sharons Web in Tx did mine. They did a great job.

I bet that added shaker is OEM parts too based on how long it was in storage.

@Raycuda brings up one of the most important points. It is very valuable to have the shop close by so you can make frequent in person visits (some unannounced!). You want to make sure you can see what is getting done and how they are going about it.
