well what I heard is this happens alot not with just scat, its a common practice as other suppliers. bare minimums is what we get today. Goes with todays standards. I guess the quest is to find people who care and smart enough to stay in business to make a living, within these companies that...

Well posted this issue on FBBO, most stated side clearance like that won't effect anything especially with the newer aftermarket stuff, Just alot of $$$ invested and kinda scared just to call it good with out some professional insite, especially when just one journal is that far off. Just being...

My views are similar, car will be a snotty street car, Maybe a run at the track once or twice just because. Consulting a few other people before this thing goes back together.

Well they assure me that .030 clearance between the rods are fine, they say up in the .040's is acceptable. :BangHead: I was concerned about holding oil pressure with that much of a gap. Would suck to completely assemble this and get 10lbs of pressure with a high volume pump.

ya pretty much, I was straight forward and courteous in the email, but some of my video comments on showing the issues of not even opening the box, installing the 3/4 bearings and rods on the journals, etc were lets say colorful. They are a few hours behind so will wait till noon for a call, if...
