Ok so I found a 100 amp alternator from tuff stuff with 2 field..As soon as i get and install it i will keep you posted .
I was trying to use the one field one my friend gave me cause it was new and free.I just installed a gear vendors overdrive so was trying to save some money but.....oh...

Maybe i can just hook up green wire from vr to 1 field alt and the blue one to a hot with ignition on

Not a race car..I meant the only things wired in the cluster are the fuel gauge and the speedometer. My fitech controller has all new wiring to the rest of the components. I am running electric fans with relays, headlights with a relay kit,msd ignition, efi,..have a 60 amp alternator. At night...
Thanks for the info. I have bypass the ammeter..have fan relays and head light relays..my fitech controler manages all the info from the motor.the only thing my cluster shows is speedometer and fuel gauge..nothing else is wired other than lights ,turn signal, no gauges. Have a separate oil...
Alternator charging fine with lights on until electric fans come on.then it goes to barely 12 volts. Have headlights relay kit and relays on fans.fans go off and volts back to 14+...thanks in advance
Guys need help with a alternator upgrade. 70 challenger 340.has a low amp alternator. Running fitech, electric fans ,fuel pump.its a 2 field alt plus power and ground. Have a 100 amp I want to install but has only 1 field +power and ground.both external regulator.how do i wire the reg?2 wires...
