M.M.340, Many thanks for the praise. Hwy 1 on the North Coast is a very special place, cruising it in ‘70 Cuda makes it even more special. Luckily it hasn’t been ruined by the rest of California. If you have a chance to visit, do so.
Many thanks for the compliment, I’m sure as you well know, she was a longtime coming. All told, about 10 years of serious work.
The Cap City Mopars moved the show from Rancho to a location in Sacramento several years ago and was held in September. I never attended the show since they moved it.
Like you said “if you can find them” , especially in the shorty version. TTI has an outstanding reputation, I’ll get an order placed after the holiday madness settles down. All said and done, this best way to achieve the goal of getting more exhaust clearance.
SS headers would be very nice, and outlast all of us! Reality is, TTI doesn’t build shorty SS headers for B or RB engines. As 6PKRTSE said, if available, the cost would be very expensive.
Gonna be enough cubic $$ as it is!!
Sam from TTI emailed these photos to me and said I’ll gain about 2” using the shorty’s. For sure, the best way to gain some clearance and stop scraping on things.
I have about 3/4” to work with. Shorty headers will eliminate the 3” collector and flange, and have a 2-1/2” header adapter pipe in it’s place. Likely get an 1”+ extra clearance. Your thoughts? Thanks.
