Sounds like you're going all out to duplicate every stamp, crayon mark and other notation as
originally built. I actually think it helps to be a little sloppy when applying some of these. On
many over restored cars it is painfully obvious that the markings are way too tidy and correct.

That's a really good question since they are both .904. I suppose it would depend on the lifter oiling provisions of the two types of blocks and the lifter's heights and oil feeds relative to them.
