Yeah you always have to get whatever you dropped! My father-in-law dropped a washer in the valley area of the 351 Cleveland in his 32 Furd. Thought it went through to the pan... Nope. He found it stuck into one of the timing chain links! That would've hurt... 😆

You could also try the OEM A518 gasket. It works great on 727s, even with sheet metal pans: 2464324AC. Don't get an aftermarket version. The OEM Mopar is hard plastic with shaped "orings" to seal unevenness.
