One day, much to my surprise. I couldn't get the key to turn to the lock position and remove it. After awhile I discovered I could turn turn the lower collar with my hand. They just removed it or didn't want to bother dealing with it so I wired it 'opened'. You have some good clearance with the...
State Farm does have a pretty good vintage plane. My '78 New Yorker and a '70 Challenger R/T valued at $50k is $360 per yr, zero comp, full tort. When I first insured the R/T 8 yrs ago I valued it at $60k and got a letter from State Farm corporate that $50k was the max but a few yrs ago someone...
I have nothing but trbl with the valley pan but the biggest problem is oil wicking up the bolts.
As far as the gaskets, the factory didn't use any and even 1 makes it impossible to get the bolts started.
A 1/64th gasket from Hughes did fit but didn't do much to stop the seepage. Project Farm on...
I recently found out that the states that allow ethanol free is still required to have some ethanol in it but don't know how much but I still use it as is... It's becoming more common around me in 89 or 90. I assumed it may have to do with small engines. I cannot run ethanol in my Cub Cadet EFI...
This is what I was thinking of... I called QA1 because these use to come in the sleeve kit with the shocks. There called 'rod end spacers' or 'Mis-alignment spacers'. The size is 1/2" x 1/4" thick.
QA1 #SG84 or equivalent. Only 1 will fit, can't find an 1/8"
Could have been my problem, I had the single adjustable TS901. Weren't bad, rode nice but only one way rebound and kind of floaty. I may regret selling them for the bilsteins. They have the same upper bushing set up without all the spacers and washers QA1 provides. I posted on another thread PST...
A typical shock Monroe, etc. you have the reducer or sleeve in the bushing but like the QA1's I had before these don't. As I mentioned on another post I liked the QA1 but there not for street use but did come with an assortment of flat and flared washers and reducers so I was able to make them...
As far as shocks, I had the QA1 TS501/901 and on hind sight there weren't as bad as I felt they were mainly because even though they where adj you had to pretty much keep them in the middle setting.
Also, there a racing style with no rebound. It basically feels like your riding on the suspension...
I never gave it a thought but my car came with the upgrade and there in the back. There's stainless hoses on it too and there's lots of slack but they could just be generic. Doing some research to resolve a caliper rattle I surmised that there basically a Mirada/Cordoba set up so any e body...
Just installed a Borgenson steering gear and as I was waiting for the air to clear I noticed quite a bit
of gold flakes in the fluid. Don't know of any brass type components in the pump so assuming it maybe coming from the gear. I did happen to put a magna pure filter on I had laying around and...
Hi all, Anybody have a H pipe install pic they would like to share to see what possibilities are available...?
Seems like even custom shops use existing templates that only include e-body Hemi's or B-bodies so
other than the TTI set up which will cause me to change what I have. The idea of...
On the bright side I went to return them via ebay and they just refunded me so at least
I got the 2 aluminum straps out of the deal. Looks like everyone is selling the same kit...
I'm going to do the Evans conversion while I had the heads off and one benefit with that I wasn't
even aware of is...
