    Cuda Cody Colum rebuild date

What are the odds? Years ago while doing a 68 Chevelle SS project I needed a factory 396 water pump. Now the block and heads were cast dated Dec 21-22 1968. So I was poking around on e-bay one day and there to my astonishment was a factory water pump dated Dec 23rd. I hit the buy it now button...

    Cuda Cody Colum rebuild date

Watched Cuda Cody's column videos in preparation of doing my own. On the crush can of the column he disassembled that can had a date of 8 14 69. I went to look at mine and found this. Ha!

    steering collum foam collar

Reassembling my 70 Colum, I did get the foam collar and other bits from Mancini racing. There are two foam collars in the bag I know where the big one goes but how about the smaller. I see no area in the old Colum where one might've been? I'll guess the 2nd one is for some other year and body...

    Turn Signal Canceling Actuator

My Colum is also out and was not going to do anything with the contact ring as the horn works as it should. BUT, due to this thread I took a closer look at the insulation under that stout cancelling metal coil and under the ring. They are showing their age. And maybe I want to freshen things...

1972 Challenger 340 pump to carb fuel line sources

Just my 2 cents... With today's fuel having a metal filter down by the pump close to exhaust manifolds is not a good idea because of vapour lock issues?

Has anyone modified the reverse light lenses on a 72-74?

My base 70 really needs an exhaust cut out rear valence. Sharp!

    Any height difference?

I did some poking around earlier and found that if I were to go with a 70 or 73 intake I'd need a spacer to use the Edelbrock or Holly I already have. Using the tinfoil ball method I find with the original hood pad there is just about 1/2 inch clearance. So I'm not inclined to use any kind of...

    Any height difference?

Flat hood. The 73 car did have the snorkel hood. Engine is installed with its Edelbrock performer intake still attached. Will install the Edelbrock 1406 carb and stock air filter housing, and do the tin foil ball trick later, but suspect there will be no real issue. The 1406 will not work with...

    Any height difference?

Have no idea what TQ I have, will assume a totally stock 727. But cant do a 600 or 1000 cfm carb with the 70 intake?
