    Need the car now

Got it all back together, and tested. Glad I spent the time to set this up. Sounds sweet (cant upload a video). Most importantly, I wanted to test for leaks or other issues. The machine shop forgot to tighten the oil port bolts on the back of the block.....if I had went through all that...

    Power steering box difference

I have a 72 challenger, the original shaft is 1 1/8" Can I install a steering box from a 73 with a 1 1/4" shaft? Are the pitman arms different between the two? (obviously other than the diameter)

CRUSH SLEEVE ELIMINATOR KIT - BEST ONE?

I just installed the Doc Diff in my 489 case, once I figured the correct shimming, it worked out quite well (two shims is all it took)

    Crush Sleeve Eliminator

I just installed a crush elimintor, and its the first rear end I've torn apart. Its not too bad, plenty of you tube videos out there to help. Just remember to ADD shims to loosen the rotational torque, and to remove shims to tighten. Took me quite a few attempts to get it set just right, so be...

Couldn't talk myself out of it

Well, I found some fender louvres and had my kid install the strobe stripes. I believe this car had fenders replaced at some point. The drivers side had no louvre holes, while the drivers side had the holes that were welded closed, so who knows what it had originally. Also installed the...

    73 Challenger Rallye or not?

Wow, I thought I wrote this, I have the exact same senario. A57 on fender tag, but no scoops, standard dash (as Im finding out, probably not a Challenger wire harness either, or at least the bulkhead connector is different). So Im guessing my challenger got changed up some how in the past...

    Critters in radiator

Bought a Challenger last winter, decided to check coolant, found an acorn, so I decided to pull radiator and check it, glad I did, seems a chipmunk or mouse was set up good, pile of acorns and a nest. I only assume the previous owner pulled a used radiator from a junkyard, (Im sure its not the...

    Challenger Fender Louvers stud repar

Any tricks to repair these studs on the fender louvers? Without welding? Also would be looking for another pair of louvers for my 73 challenger

Couldn't talk myself out of it

Thanks, explains quite a bit. Think I'll be looking at installing a rallye dash ( I rebuilt the dash for my 72, think I can use that, then find another rallye gauge cluster for the 72 when I get to finishing that car), then I'll have to find the fender scoops too, and buy a stripe kit....fun, fun

Couldn't talk myself out of it

    So here goes, I had to remove fender tag and brush off the rust on the back. Paint is so thick that I cant make out numbers on the front of the tag. 1st line: N42 N85 R11 V6X EN2 2nd Line: G36(i think or C36) J52 J54 M08 M21 N41 3rd Line: FE5 U A57 B41 C16 C56 4th Line: FE5...

Couldn't talk myself out of it

Ya, even trying to read it without a camera picture is hard, probably 2 or 3 coats of paint on it, and the lighting in the garage its stored at is not all that good. I couldnt find a build sheet in the seats or glove box either.
