Pic as requested, thought about using a syringe to inject what ever into the holes to "secure" the shafts together, but still be able to collapse if needed.

Think I may have answered my own question, after completely sliding it out, looks as if its plastic, injected at factory maybe? Now to figure out a way to fix it

I have a 72 challenger, the original shaft is 1 1/8" Can I install a steering box from a 73 with a 1 1/4" shaft? Are the pitman arms different between the two? (obviously other than the diameter)

I just installed the Doc Diff in my 489 case, once I figured the correct shimming, it worked out quite well (two shims is all it took)

I just installed a crush elimintor, and its the first rear end I've torn apart. Its not too bad, plenty of you tube videos out there to help. Just remember to ADD shims to loosen the rotational torque,and to remove shims to tighten. Took me quite a few attempts to get it set just right, so be...
