my '71 was a point car. went to the dual point setup- in 72---Mallory--still have it... went with the OEN Mopar electronic distributor.. not much trouble there should indentations in the fire wall for the control box which has a mounting bracket...had a lot of problems with JUNK ballast...
converted front turn signal light bulbs to LED. worked....installed LEDs in rear --brake and turn signal. nothing works including front signal bulbs...do I need to do something to the electrical system to get the LED bulbs to work..do they draw more current??? do I need a heavy duty flasher...
got to replace steering box on my '71 challenger small block, power steering. which part number, for Borgeson?? also cooler is recommended, how was installation, any pictures and hose routing would be helpful. Michael 71 challenger
1. electronic ignition. upgrade from 71 Mallory duel point. all wires match correct color on wiring diagram. stock mechanical fuel pump--plenty of gas.
2. will not start now..ran once for about a minute, them shut down. crank and did fire, but no run. 10 timed and tuned. spent most of day...

trying to get the "71 running..power Steering box leaking. Napa list one for $149.95. But none in stock. need a source. seen a new smaller one advertised for $650--option. is there an alternative to the power system or just manual .??
