More Progress On The 71 Barracuda

This car wasn't so lucky. nearly ever panel was toast except for the important bits. And everything saveable needed a lot of work. I swear the county had to use this as their salt spreader

If I go with blue it would probably be closer to a B5. I just think B5 may be a little overused, but is still a good looking color.

Oops meant to put white. Originally it was B7 blue with blue interior but I'm not a huge fan of the color. Its been a toss up between white, blue, or gold.

More Progress On The 71 Barracuda

I'd be lying if I said that if at a point I didn't think this car would ever be back together and would end up at the scrapyard. It seems that the end is in sight. Got the 440 rebuilt, painted up, and bolted to the 46rh trans and sitting in the completely restored K member that I scored a killer...

I've learned my lesson already when trying to save money on other cheaper brands of panels. You'll save so much time and money just buying something decent once.

My current project 71 as rusty as they come

I'm largely self taught Kind of a learn as I go situation. I've done a little metal work on my chevelle but this is a whole new animal. I'd rather block sand for days than try to fit these panels but it's all part of the experience right.

The fenders and quarter panels are beautiful. That is when FedEx doesn't smash them to bits. The issues are more evident on the rear wheel houses and the trunk pan extensions. All considered i've seen way worse when it comes to aftermarket panels. Where just lucky AMD does make decent products.

My current project 71 as rusty as they come

Here's the current state of the car way worse than anticipated, but starting to head in the right direction. The hardest part of the whole project is just trying to get the replacement parts here without looking like they where run over in transit. So far I have new rockers, torsion cross...

My current project 71 as rusty as they come

I did find the build sheet under the rear seat. The mice found it too. Its still legible enough to make out the vin and options on the car and it all matches the fender tag. As far as the underside of the car hardy any of it was saveable. Frame rails, rockers, pans, and cross members where all...

My current project 71 as rusty as they come

Not new to projects but this is my first mopar and lets say by the time I'm done with this one I'll have the confidence to take any project on. I've had the car for a little over a year now but this is when I first brought it home.
