Look in the factory service manual. If you have one. That's where I saw a wire going to the reflector. And that's what gave me the idea.

I no longer have my Challenger. But years ago I put SE door panels with a reflector in my 73 Challenger. Looking in the factory 1970 service manual, the reflector actually was designed with a light. So I used a door switch and wired it up. So when I opened my door, the red reflector would light...

Right now I have a 70 Charger. But actually I miss the Challenger. It was my first car was air conditioning and straight as an arrow when I bought it in 1983.
