A gear oil change certainly wouldn't hurt plus you'll get a better look to see if any metal particles are suspended in it. The friction modifier doesn't last forever (if there's some in the gear oil) and neither does the gear oil. I had a Jeep one time that started making rear diff. noises...
Whew! When I first saw the post "Blown Rear End" my first thought is parts flying out of your rear end housing. I'm glad it wasn't that. If you haven't removed the rear drums yet, using a stethoscope and with the car on jack stands have someone rotate a tire while you listen around the...
Hmm, it doesn't look 3D printed to me. I can clearly see the shiny metal where the rivet holes are plus dataplates4u mentions nothing about 3D printing them.
Ok thanks for the info about them being junk. That's another reason I'll keep my originals and rebuild them myself. BTW, the hinges Classic Industries sells as many others do are identified as a "MOPAR Authentic Restoration Product." I would guess that has some importance.
Nope no instructions, that's why I'm asking.
Maybe the market is dwindling because brand new replacement hinges are available. A complete new set (both doors) from Classic Industries sells for around $200.00. Also I don't want restored hinges because my Challenger is in original condx and...
I bought a Door Hinge Repair Kit from Classic Industries to fix the sagging driver-side door of my Challenger. It doesn't sag much, it's more of an annoyance. Has anyone had any luck with one of these kits and if so what type of suggestions might you have with doing the repair?
Wow, nice collection. I have to ask though, what's that sticking out of the hood of the blue '70 Challenger? It looks like a Shaker Hood "on steroids".
In case anyone is interested here's an update to the one piece fuel line dilemma I was having with my '72 340 Challenger Rallye.
SSTubes/Fine Lines finally came thru after I sent to them detailed measurements and photos. As noted in my original post the first one they sent was short by approx...
I can't speak for how the '71 Challenger 340 fuel line/fuel filter configuration is but I do know it was different for the '72-'73 340 Challenger. Here's a page out of a late '72 Chrysler Parts parts catalog. As you can see the fuel filter is on the inlet side of the pump. The fuel line I'm...
Thanks for the quick reply.
I could install the fuel filter there but it wouldn't look original and it wouldn't keep debris out of the pump. Original was filter before the pump near the frame rail.
I'm new to the forum, been a long time lurker though.
Besides bending my own does anyone know of a good source for a pump to carb fuel line? I'm looking for something that looks as close to original as possible. I've tried 2 different suppliers and had issues with each one. The one from...
