    Turns out the cause was pretty simple: the main coil wire lead had been pinched by the old coil which had a smaller opening.     It’s currently using an old Rev-Nator ECU. I switched it for a new orange box with no change. I made sure it was well grounded.

    Greetings!

    I'm the "original passenger" of my '70 Cuda 340 4-speed as a friend bought it new while I was in high school. I became the owner in 1974 and except for two years spent in restoration have been driving it constantly.
