    No crank, no lights.....nothin

Thank you. The fuseible link, would it be connected to the alternator and go into the firewall? I have a picture of it below. Is there a root cause for the link to go...age, overloaded, heat? Do they get old and need replacing. I'm sure this is the original one. I have to check the connections...

    No crank, no lights.....nothin

Hello. I have a 1974 Challenger with a 340. I went to start the car today and it would not turn over. I then realized I had no lights....no dome lights, no head lights...nothing. I changed the battery since the old one was very very old. Although, it was should 12.8 volts. New battery did...

    Dual Horns?

My 74 Challenger has only one horn. It isn't very loud, sounds like its pissed off I'm using it. LOL. Did Challenger's all come with dual horn's or single horn, depending on the trim Level? If they do come with dual horns, does anyone know where the second horn is placed. I don't see where the...

340 takes a long time to start

Hello. I have a 74 Challenger with a 340. It was very hard to start when cold. Not as bad when warmed up but still. I would have to pump the gas 7 to 10 times to get it going. Not knowing when the last time it was tuned up, and I figured the distributor was original. I got a distributor kit from...

Old geezer has a few questions

There is a Youtuber, Dylan McCool who put in a 5.7 Hemi into his 74 Challenger. He deleted the MDS system as well. I believe he used a Holley Terminator system on it. He goes into a lot of detail installing it. Might be worth while checking him out? Good luck on your install.

    Vibration at idle......

Hello. I have a 74 Challenger with a 340 in it. When the car is at idle, it vibrates, hesitates when starting from a stop, vibrates a lot slow speed, and at highway speeds it vibrates at around 60mph. It seems to cycle through.....vibrates, smooth, vibrates. I'm not sure how else to describe...

    Fender tag

I apologize....I realize after posting that I put this question in the wrong Thread. Sorry. Hello. Quick question. I finally got the Fender tag for my 74 Challenger. I'm guessing it was taken off when they repainted the car over 20 years ago. Is the Fender tag always painted the body colour...

    74 Challenger Steering Coupler

Thanks so much for your input. I will have a look at it once its out for the spring. No I won't drive it until its repaired. I'm hoping to put in a Borgeson steering box and new coupler to tighten up the handling. If you have any experience with Borgeson, I would appreciate your comments...

    74 Challenger Steering Coupler

Hello. The steering coupler on my 74 Challenger doesn't look right. With the steering the way it is, really feels loose, I was thinking of upgrading the steering box to a Borgeson. Has anyone used Borgeson power steering box? Thoughts? In the meantime, the picture shows the existing steering...
