The story i got was that they had to turn the exhaust pipes down rather than exiting straight out to meet ca. Deciblil levels for sound.

I purchased a 70 challenger r/t shell from 29 palms desert in ca. The build tag codes dual exhaust w/chrome tips. The car seems to be origional paint and the exhaust valance is not cutout. The underside of the trunk has 2 heat shields and exhaust hangers, the rear of the car appears to be intact...
