Like the other replies said the starter has nothing to do with the oil pressure. Your oil pressure readings sound reasonable to me.
I raced my Chrysler Kit Car in 1980 and it had 100 psi cold oil pressure with the dual pickup oil pump with Hemi rotors & Quaker State 30 WT Racing Oil and prob 60...
Thanks for the reply. One of these blocks has a late 69 casting date while the other has a 70 casting date, and I believe that the oil pan rails are also filled solid as well as the beefier main webbing and the different part number of course. I oval track raced with a stock 340 block with at...
Ok thanks. I know a guy that I sold two of my T/A blocks to and one of them was bought from Keselowski Racing in the early 80's and it has 4 bolt main caps too so it was probably from the Chrysler racing program back in the day. Another guy had one but I don't know if he still has it.

AAR Cuda is my favorite car and I wrote three Cuda songs that are on youtube if you want to check them out under my artist search name: WFHDANB426
The songs are AAR CUDA, 70 CUDA & 71 CUDA. Hopefully my songs inspire people to keep restoring and loving these Cuda's as much as I do, even though I...
Anytime! I got my 70 340 Cuda in 1978 and I've owned many more Mopar's, circle track raced Mopars, been an auto mechanic and a Millwright, etc so if there's a problem with a Mopar just ask away. We used to drill the passenger side oil gallery out to put a copper tube in to restrict oil loss...
Anytime! If you wanna help me you can go to youtube and listen to my three Cuda songs and subscribe to my youtube channel. Artist search name: WFHDANB426 And I was talking to Brandon from the Mopar Guy song and I told him that we need to make more Mopar car songs. I'd like to buy a Hemi Cuda...
That's great info and you could create a new post about an easy way to check that the plug is installed because if an engine builder pounds that plug out before hot tanking the block and then it don't get back in then the oil isn't forced to go through the filter before it circulates.
No problem. One time I had a vehicle that used a sending unit for an electric factory oil pressure light and I used teflon tape on the threads and it didn't let the sending unit ground on the block and the light didn't work properly.
If I remember right the hole that the oil sending unit lives in is a the top of that rear oil gallery and if you put a clean rod in there to see how far down it goes it would tell you if the plug is in or not?
