Great inexpensive ideas. I bought a piece of hex rod about 35 years ago. I keep it in my tool box. I had my own tools for years and then when my good friend and Mopar mentor passed away many years ago, I inherited his monster tool box filled with lots of goodies!

Try using plastic pry bars and pry up carefully on both sides of the trim moulding. Definitely not what is supposed to be there.

I've had to modify the top bracket and upper rod for years. Glad to see AREngineering is making some parts to fit modified engines. @wiging19 You're going to have to modify a little bit, but it shouldn't be too bad. I eagerly wait your final solution!

That's like the bare minimum. I like breaking parts in with 30 weight myself. Or 20w-50. But that's just me. Please let us know what they say.

What oil weight are you using? Most new lifters will make noise when it's first started up, but the noise should go away once everything is broke in and lifters fill up with oil. Certain rocker arms can also make a lot of noise as well. Especially adjustable rockers that aren't adjusted...

I know the FSM and other sources say 40 to 50 ft-lbs, but I would only torque the bolt to 25-30 ft-lbs. It is a hollow bolt after all.

Supply and demand I guess. About 30 years ago I remember selling a 70 Barracuda dash pad for $200. And it was in excellent shape. No cores go for a lot more than that! The only good thing about the Just Dashes $5400 is that it would be brand new. Good for another 55+ years!

See the three weird looking "tabs" around the inner circle just outside your lugnuts? They are shaped so the "dog dish" pops over them. They're pretty snug. usually need a pry bar (screw driver) to pop them back off.

The clearance is built into the horn ring! Springs hold the connection "open" and when you push on the center cap, you collapse the springs, thus closing the connection and the horn(s) sounds.
