Was just sorting through this myself recently, trying to make sense of the holes in the floor pans. There were four of them typically, in 70 I believe they began to appear when the T/A's & AAR's with the side exhaust came out. Before that I think all rubber plugs were used? Hopefully someone...

I think this is another one of those things where you could ask 50 people for an opinion and get 50 different recommendations. Brad Penn, Lucas, Joe Gibbs, on and on. NAPA recently had a sale, they happened to carry Royal Purple, I went with Royal Purple.
Best engine break-in oil
I just picked up fluid for my newly rebuilt 727, after searching many of the posts on this it seems like the Ford Type F is closest to what was found back in the day. But at the same time I don't think there's really any wrong fluid you can use either, they'll all work. Synthetics maybe being...
Best pic that I have, I used to have all these but sold the extras. It's an S-shaped metal bracket, the one in the back is an original and the others I just made up out of some sheet metal. IIRC it attaches to the duct with one of those plastic push rivets like are typically found in newer cars...
Looks like you have pieces from the column lock and kickdown linkages and need to put it all together. Best bet is to purchase or download a service manual if you don't have one. Pic of column lock linkage attached, and a link showing all of the kickdown linkage pieces-

Cool car, I remember seeing some pics of it previously. Good to see the original wiper motor, brake booster, master cylinder, a/c lines & components, etc. are all still there. Don't discard any of that stuff they are all high dollar parts these days. I'm restoring a very similar car but in EV2...
Yup, not much to them. Drill out the rivets, soak everything in Evaporust, tap the holes for small machine screws and reassemble. Chances are good they'll start working again.
Prestolite Horn Demystifed
The top has been done for a while now, I forgot to come back and update this thread - here are a few pics. My installer used the foil tape over the screw holes and then the 1/8" landau top foam to make the plug level with the metal roof structure. Sanded it to blend. Then the top went on like...
The edges of any of those little dots or swedges I think they call them, that overlap that seam need to be carefully cut or ground away with a Dremel tool and then that little back piece will come out. And then the lense drops out. I'd just use some JB Weld in place of the swedges when you...
Yeah I wouldn't scrap them, I took a quick look on facebook marketplace near me and didn't come up with any e-body axles nearby but there were a couple of sellers with b-body 8 3/4 axles asking $125-$225/pr.
I think it was 73 when they switched from the brass valves to the cast iron ones as above. The cast iron ones were used on a lot of cars & years. Can you post a pic of what you have now? If it's an original brass one off of a 70-72 it could be worth some good $ and should not be discarded. But...
