Opinion on tear in Caliper dust boot

Thank you for your response. The tear was much worse looking once it came out, and am glad I changed it. Good idea, I have the backs yet to do, and will flush at the dot 3 out.

Opinion on tear in Caliper dust boot

Thank you, the kits are stupid cheap on Rock Auto. Thinking about it, would you be old enough to remember how auto parts stores used to use caliper pistons as ash trays on their counters? Ours did!! :)

Unexplained gap in torsion bar socket

Thank you so very much for your comments. End play makes sense, as does the fabrication holes. I'll dress the bar and slap it back in tonight.

Thanks for your reply, didn't the Hemi K frame have such welding done to it, maybe torque boxes?

Just discovered K Member issues requiring welding.

Hello, I was starting to install my front suspension parts when I made two discoveries. An elongated strut rod hole on the left and a crack on the k frame above the right strut rod hole. Suggestions welcomed. Thanks

    Got LCA’s back from welding.

Hello, I had a great experience with a gallon jug of the 6x vinegar at Home Depot, for $20. The stuff is a great rust stripper, but please please wear gloves.

    Got LCA’s back from welding.

I received the LCA’s from welding on the plates, and they came out great! I had him do the washer trick and will press out the bushing housing today The rubber bumper is junk and a new one has been ordered. Any recommendations on a good chemical rust remover?

    Question on Torsion bars

Thank you for the great advice. I have some Moog UCA bushings in my 'pile' and will see if they are the number you referred to. I replaced the steering box et al a couple years ago. The state of my funds at the time informed my purchase decisions. :( I like the fast Pitman/Idler arm. With...
