Well after doing some digging around I found that the exhaust valve is made like that. I think I will still send the heads in and have them check them over for a crack / surface level and valve job if the other 2 check out ok.

Man the more I look at the more I find. Pulling a few valves and this one looks bad. So you replace all valves if you have a bad one correct? This #1 cylinder exhaust valve looks ready to separate.

I pulled the engine and bearings look good, just cleaning up the block and heads. I am replacing the engine frost plugs and found some rust. Have any of you clean out the block on a engine stand?

Thanks for all the information. I am thinking dash pad I'll just have to save up. It makes me think maybe I should should start a Dash Pad making company here in Minnesota. I would think I could make it for less than $1,500.00. Starting with E-Bodies-Only cars.

Can anyone tell me difference between Dash pad and a dash cover? I am looking at replacing the dash pad on my 73 Cuda but don't want the clue on kind. Looking for the screw attached kind has with metal backing does name identify that?
