    Need help with seat tracks

I don't know why my car has one seat with the tension-er and one seat without it. Does anyone know which is correct for a '70 E body?

    Need help with seat tracks

I'm getting ready to install my carpet and I just couldn't stand the thought of installing my rusty seat tracks so I am trying to clean them up. In doing this I turned over my passenger seat bottom and I noticed that the wire under my passenger seat is longer than the wire on my drivers side. It...

Anyone running the Passon 18 spline OD gearset? I am trying to make a final

I recently saw an episode of Dead Dodge Garage and Jamie (the You Tuber-and my personal favorite you tube guy) was saying that if the holes for the counter shaft are worn the transmission will make noise. However, he did say that this really only happens with aluminum cases. The way he described...

Need help with Bucket Seat Back Stops

Thank you very much. We tired (sparingly) using a heat gun and it worked like a charm. I just put the bolt in a vice (top side up), didn't tighten it and tapped the plastic thing down gently with a hammer. They both went right on.

    Need help with seat tracks

It does appear to be to long. Perhaps it is for a bench seat? Not sure. The wire on mine measures a hair under 11".

Need help with Bucket Seat Back Stops

I grinded down the sides of the screw a little because the vice grip had chewed it up and then I sanded it with emery cloth but I still couldn't get it in. A lot of places sell the reproduction screws but no one has them in stock. I will try using a press. Thank you very much for the suggestions.

    Need help with seat tracks

First of all, wow! your seats look great! It is kind of hard to see in that picture as it is so dark but the wire going across the seat bottom should be tight. Here is a picture of my seat: Please don't mind how horrible it looks. I plan to take care of that soon. I hope this helps.

Need help with Bucket Seat Back Stops

My bucket seats have never sat correctly. Years ago I noticed the plastic thing on the bottom of the seat was missing. I bought some at a car show and now that the car is apart and I am trying to fix it. The screws that were in the seat were rusted in and hard to get out but I got them out...

Anyone running the Passon 18 spline OD gearset? I am trying to make a final

Keeping it simple is a really great way of doing it in my opinion. I saw recently on an older episode of Graveyard Yard Carz (not the newest season but the one before that) and Mark Worman was discussing the aftermarket 6 speed and he was showing how they have to cut the trans tunnel and make it...

    Column shift JH23H non-Rallye 340 Challengers?

I have seen HEMI cars with column shifts. In this case I believe it all depends on what the person ordered when buying the car.

Anyone running the Passon 18 spline OD gearset? I am trying to make a final

I have the 4 speed version. I have had it for over 10 years (although my car hasn't moved in the last 4 years until last week) but before that I put a lot of miles on it and had no trouble at all. Fourth gear is 0.80:1 and I have 3.91 gear ratio which gives me a 3.13 ratio in 4th gear. This...
