    Cuda Upper Cowl Black Paint

I agree with NixDad. 70 only has the cowl painted black on non dark paint. Someone over restored the 71. See also below:

It is a sensor that senses cars in front of you and it adjusts the cruise control to keep a certain distance between you and that car. I don't think my son sees much value in it!

    Shaky idle -help!

Just the ones that don't have bolts from the flex plate going through them. It will be obvious when you see them. No the "pin" is a drain plug on certain years and models. The weights are on either side of the drain plug in the photo above.

    318 carburetor hose help

Here's a couple shots of the 318 vacuum digrams from the 71 Plymouth Shop Manual. It might answer your questions. Search the site for "factory shop manuals" and link to download free .PDF files show up. Personally I like to buy full size hard copy manuals from Rockauto.

The photo was "relocated" from another FEBO post.

    Shaky idle -help!

Yes, the weights are on the front of the torque converter. If present, you'll need to remove the dust cover and you should be able to see the weight(s) similar to the ones in the photo below. I've had the best luck with a really sharp small chisel and BFH. I suppose an air chisel would work too...

    Shaky idle -help!

If your flex plate or torque converter where balanced (asymmetrical design or added weight) for an external big block which you had originally and you didn't change to a neutral balance flex plate and/or torque converter going to an internal balanced engine, it will cause shaking! And wear...

Fixed the one booboo on the Scat Pack Challenger. That's water from washing it after the fix. Took us 3 hours. Had to remove the front air damn but at least the front facia didn't have to come off. Might have to zoom in the photos:

Installing a trans in the old days by yourself; the way we old timers had to do it!

I think we all agree transmission jacks are worth their weight in gold when you need one! Especially to all of us who have done it in a hard, muscle intense method! 😀

Engine Bay Wiring Help - 72 Challenger

I've got to plug Evan's Wiring. All Bill and his wife do is Mopar wiring and he used the correct color wiring and end connectors. He can make custom harnesses as well. Don't hesitate to call him. Evans Wiring Harnesses

    windshield trim

It could be that there was more putty on left side from the factory. Since it's together, and it's only $30, I'd give something like this a try...

    Distributor Vacuum Advance Issue

Hopefully Halifaxhop will chime in as he rebuilds distributors. I do know the distributors need to be oiled. there's a piece of felt(?) in the center of the shaft under the rotor that needs a few drops every so often. I doubt many people oil their distributors.

    360 block casting numbers

3418496 is 71-74 360. Supposedly these blocks have the 340 cylinder core meaning they're a little thicker and stiffer. The -5 just means it was poured in mold #5 although others believe the "5" means something else. Perhaps, but in every casting house I've been to, the molds for the same parts...

Gen 3 Hemi moto mounts - best option?

Heminut, I was hoping you'd respond as I know you did the third gen hemi swap. If going the TTI route, all their parts will work together. If using a different component somewhere, don't hesitate to call whoever you go with. The businesses mentioned so far will answer all your questions. Plus...

Gen 3 Hemi moto mounts - best option?

There are several options out there and others who have done it will weigh in. I do want to mention that Mancini stands by their products. They are one of the original Direct Connection (Mopar Performance) suppliers out there. Their longevity says something.

Engine Bay Wiring Help - 72 Challenger

That switch is also part of the NOX Exhaust Emissions Control. Once the car hits about 40 mph, it works in conjunction with the other piece on the dash and I think retards the timing. Basically emissions related "stuff".

    Shaky idle -help!

When he gets back online, PM (personal message) Chryco Phsyco. He is talking about putting wires into the air bleeds so it will run a little richer for a bigger cam.

Engine Bay Wiring Help - 72 Challenger

The strange relay above the blower motor is the N95 NOX Exhaust Emissions Control. They started showing up in mid 71 and across the board in 72 and up. Your fender tag should have N95 stamped on it.

    ...and I drove it home..

These E-Bodies where ment to be driven! I've got 250,000 miles on my Challenger and one of my best adventures was driving to the gas station with my son in his 2015 Challenger Scat Pack! So some poor soul in a black cracker box got a wake up call when he (she?) had the misfortune of being in the...
