That doesn't look right.
The rod angling down to the brake pedal would be flat on my car. Both ends of it are at the same height as the booster linkage.
The info I have assumed is you either ordered the A01 Light Group and all it's associated parts or you got none of it.
But the trunk light L25 and the other lamps all appear to have been able to be ordered on their own as they have their own L codes.
If your car has got none of the other parts...
That bulb and holder is part of the optional A01 light group. My car has that. The light comes on when you open the doors and goes off with a timer after about 20 seconds.
The other bulb holder he could be talking about illuminates the heater controls. I think all Challengers have this one.
Yeah that wasn't me that left the feedback. I was really happy with the look and ease of installation.
They complete the dash and fill the blank spot.
They are manufactured by a company again that I cannot recall the name, and sold by Classic and other parts vendors.
Yes they are worth buying...
I don't know for sure about factory wires but I don't think so. In any case mine was an electronic tach that often does not work if you connect them to existing points/coil wiring - but some do work.
I have an MSD box so I went to the tach terminal on the 6AL.
I bought one of the tachometers you are talking about but don't remember who I got it off.
Fits in where there is a blank or an optional clock.
The needle on my one is the fatter style that matches a Barracuda or the 1971 on Challenger.
Fitted well and works good.
Those are off the dash heater lever/controls end. I have some on a spare controls set-up.
In New Zealand so that is no good to you.
Run a wanted ad you will get some second hand but watch out for scammers.
Deal with known members.
There is no gasket I know of. I would use high temp silicone these days.
It will need to jam up tight. Anything that sets like concrete will give you problems.
The style of manifold you have there does not use the donut gasket. Just apply sealer to the tapered face of the pipe and bolt up tight.
They are not the greatest idea and sometimes it is hard to stop the leaks.
Do a trial fit IMO.
It sounds like the points/ignition trigger plate is a bit seized. With the vacuum unit removed the secondary plate should move freely.
They also need to be lubricated.
I found the decoding book was not that great. The most useful and free was a Charger site decoding section.
You can use the internet to find out most of the codes. Just search around.
Your car has the map light so it may have had the A01 Light Group.
I recently watched an old re-run of Overhaulin were they did a ladies Barracuda Gran Coupe that had been purchased new by her Grandma.
It must have had cruise originally because I noticed the distinctive turn signal lever while they were stripping the car down.
