Is that color Top Banana ? Comes across closer to my '74 Challengers Yellow blaze (Y5) but thats from looking at it on the computer. It looks like is coming along nicely - keep up the good work.
I have had very good luck with TTI headers - I have used on big block, small block, E-body and A-body (small block) and I have been very impressed with the fitment and construction... the web site said it fits with power steering...
The only issue I have had is with shifter linkage, which they...
Welcome to the forum, your Challenger looks pretty good. Do you have any more pictures to share?
I always like checking out others cars. Your color combination is similar to my 74 Challenger.
This is correct - I swapped in a 440 into my 1972 340 Barracuda using the original K-frame. I am pretty sure I used the stock 440 brackets and motor mounts for the swap - I would say more definitely, but its been almost 30 years. I did used the stock small block K-member though.
An interesting side note - I did a quick look on E-bay, there were 12 1973 Challengers listed. All of them are listed ranging from $32,000 to $138,000...
I believe the numbers (original number of cars manufactured) makes these cars valuable for all years (Cuda's and Challenger's). Obviously the 70-71 Hemi convertibles are on top value-wise, but those that can't afford those help drive the value up on the rest of the model years. The value in the...
I have to add my Challenger pics to the thread - My pair are a 2015 Hellcat (6spd manual) and my 1974 360 auto (originally a 318 car)
And I want to have the 1972 Barracuda 440 auto with the Challengers (originally a 340 Barracuda)
Welcome to the club!!!
No time better than the present!!!
I do understand where your coming from. I bought my Cuda when I was 17 and I turn 60 this year, but mine was on the road into the 90's... lol
At first thought I would say you have too much tire, but I checked my 72 Barracuda and it has 245/45ZR17's and they don't rub.
It's possible the fast ratio pitman arm is your issue - I believe the fast ratio pitman arm is longer than stock so the same steering wheel movement will move the...
Welcome!! Toys are looking good!! From the pictures the Challenger looks like a pretty solid project!!
I like the 72-74 Challenger front and rear better than the earlier style. I am converting my 74 Chally into a rallye clone.
I struggle to leave any of my projects stock, mainly because they...
Looks like your doing it right - taking it down and building it back up again the way it should be done. Obviously that takes a lot of time and dedication!!!
I had a 72 Cuda 340 (Calif emission standards) with the charcoal canister and I pulled the canister and vented the tank at the metal vent line (in the engine compartment) to the atmosphere with no issues.
That was many years ago. I put many miles on it and never had any issues...
Welcome aboard - I am a fan of all older Mopar products. Some I like more than others, but I like them all. I have a couple A-bodies, a 67 Dart and 71 Duster as well as some E-bodies, all though they are obviously different than E-bodies, A-bodies still use many of the same parts and react the...
