I've never had an issue spraying the textured argent. I've done two grills with no issues.

I'm with xcudame on this, the drum brakes work just fine on the rear and the time, expense and labor to change to discs just isn't worth it. I too have spent a lot of time servicing brakes, I worked for 5 year in a dealership doing nothing but front end alignments and brake work.

I lost my keys and had to pull my ignition switch on my 70 Cuda to take it to a locksmith. It's been a while but I remember the only special tool I needed was a steering wheel puller with long bolts to pull the 'crush can'.
Knowing that the rear brakes don't do near as much as the front brakes, I never considered going to the expense of swapping. I did source the parts to go to the bigger 11" drum brakes from the salvage yard and upgraded to the bigger drum brakes. I also put in an adjustable proportioning valve.
I didn't use a primer, sprayed the textured argent directly onto the grill. I did use a sanding pad to scuff the main areas of the grill. I didn't mask the edges and had no problem putting the trim on afterwards. I actually pressed the trim on with the heel of my hand and my thumbs.
I recommend you post this over on the forabodiesonly forum in the late model hemi swap section too. There are a lot of guys over there dealing with the aftermarket systems being used in this type of swap and they seem pretty knowledgeable about this stuff.
