Thank you. I have a friend coming from out of town to help so I wanted to have everything ready -- but it looks like we'll have to see how it goes. I will let you know what I need. B.

    z-bar and mounting trouble

OMG Im trying to put a 318 into a 340 Cuda Auto. that was converted to 4 Spd. with a 440. Does anyone know the correct lengths of the Z bar and clutch fork for a 318 with A833? Also that pivot piece on the bellhousing? The car has been well diddled with. TY

    Disc Brake Caliper Position

Sorry about the delay but I was having restoration work done on my eyes, kidneys and short arm. I am looking at the SM for 70 Belvedere, Fury, Barracuda and Valiant. In Figure 8 page 5-47 it looks like it is in the rear now that I see the tie rod. BUT it also looks like the brake line is in the...

    71 N96 340 4 spd cuda

I am trying to put a 318 in my 70 cuda. There was some discussion here on the length of clutch forks. Any idea what the length of the clutch fork and z bar should be for a 318 in an ebody? I had to buy a new Lakewood bellhousing if that makes a difference. Thank you.

Firm feel or PS T. Im wondering which one to put under my 73 Challenger.

Thank you, I think I blundered into the correct installation but I want to try my micrometer to see the taper. My alignment guy talked about the taper but I though it was just the threaded part and not the hole. What is that natural finish you put on your parts? It looks great. Thanks again.

Firm feel or PS T. Im wondering which one to put under my 73 Challenger.

Thank you. I actually just bought one of those Harbor Freight digital micrometers for $20. That will be a good exercise for me. I don't have the engine in but it also looks like the idler and pitman arms are pretty much parallel.

Sorry to be a dummy but how do you know if the center link is installed correctly?

    Disc Brake Caliper Position

RTA that is damn nice. What do you call that yellow stuff on the nuts? I see you do have the riveted brakes. What is that stuff around the hub. Is that an abrasive? Your pad looks pretty close to the hub. Also, I bought the MBM kit with the Chinese junk. Are the spindles supposed to be exact...

    Disc Brake Caliper Position

Katfish that is interesting.... I use the 70 Plymouth SM for Belvedere Fury Barracuda and Valiant. I do have a Fig. 8 Removing and Installing brake shoes. It looks to me like the caliper is in the rear, however the (same shitty) picture shows the brake hose connector on the front side -- but I...

    Disc Brake Caliper Position

Sorry to ask something that has probably been beaten to death. I have a 70 Cuda. I have the MBM drum to disc conversion kit. I have a 70 Cuda. 1. The MBM kit shows having the caliper to the rear of the wheel. (The welded-on bracket for the brake line is towards the rear of the wheel) (Pictured)...

Steering column too long for gear box.

Thank you all for your help. I am now moving along again. (Looks almost as nice as Ron's LOL).

Steering column too long for gear box.

I don't know where I was but I was in a Cadillac dealership looking at a Cadillac. I was sitting in it and the salesman told me "This car has a tilt steering wheel for more head room" and continued his spiel without missing a beat. That was probably 35 years ago and I haven't forgotten it.

Steering column too long for gear box.

Thank you... I forgot about ebay. I usually stay away from stuff with shipping. But I'll have check there also. In this case I need the power steering one though.

Steering column too long for gear box.

Thank you. I will have to contact that guy Cody but his video made it look challenging digging around behind the horn button... I think I would have to have him do it so there is shipping 2X. There are some guys at a shop in CA called Motech but I would have to take the steering out of the car.
