Suggestions for a 727 replacement Automatic

Unless you're looking for OD or a manual.....I'd just have a reputable builder go thru it. If it's out, I'd fix it. That's just me.

Suggestions for a 727 replacement Automatic

Vent the case, and run a hose upwards for expansion. Had to use a puke-tank on my old pro-stocker.

Only a few more cruises left for the season

Not today. Feel like shit. I hope it's not the bug. Went for a casual cruise...

Only a few more cruises left for the season

Got 600 miles on the ragtop, in the last 4-5 weeks. You're correct...not many good-weather deals left/scheduled. Skipping tonite, and gotta choose for tomorrow.

Started the Challenger 4 years ago, don't know if I can keep this going.

I know and feel your situation. I started on mine 20+ years ago. I let it sit for a dozen years, then changed direction...entirely. It made the project more complex and costly. I'm sure if it weren't my mother's car....it would have been long gone. I'd do what's correct for the future of my...

    Just a thank you.

Thanks Matt. That show no longer exists. It was Rhonda's deal, and she quit working there.... after 37 years. I'm happy for her.

    Just a thank you.

I'd like to thank everybody on the board who followed the rebuild of my mother's old car. Having people to converse with and follow progress....made this tolerable, and I'm always looking and listening to people with ideas and projects. As much as I've never really cared-for this car, it appears...

    Ma's `cuda. A long time coming.

Good luck with your 2nd knee. I've never been able to kneel on either of my replacements. Just feels too weird. It's kinda taken me outta the hobby of building cars. The ragtop, is my last build. I'm glad it's done.

    Ma's `cuda. A long time coming.

As a note from taking the WO to Columbus.....some dickhead dented one of the acid-dipped fenders, when nobody was around. I still have to get a paintless dent guy out, to see what can be done.

Another item off the bucket list....

I just got a couple pics this a.m. I was driving, so I wasn't able to take pics..........more to come. These were at the end of the parade...

Another item off the bucket list....

The women were of middle-age and older. Not exactly what most people are thinking.... Super nice women, but not there as sex symbols. We had fun.

Another item off the bucket list....

Went to a car-show in Richmond today. While registering, the woman at the table was talking on the phone to another person running the festivities. She said they had to get a car for the former "Little Miss Richmond" winners. I told her I had a ragtop. She asked if it was the beautiful green...

Durango rack and pinion fit a 71 Challenger without a ton of mods?

The block is black. It has a motor-plate, and is in my 67 WO Coronet. It's a legal NHRA S/S car....with a non-legal engine. The master is a Strange unit. Based off the Chrysler unit, with optional mounting bosses/holes in the casting and correctly proportioned for bigs and littles [tires]. The...

Durango rack and pinion fit a 71 Challenger without a ton of mods?

I know how to do bling, but different cars, for different reasons and thought processes.

Durango rack and pinion fit a 71 Challenger without a ton of mods?

My ragtop is the first car I ever built, to look stock [other than the wheels]. I built it to not be a blingy/bolt-on ride. The main purpose, was to make it look like Chrysler installed everything I did, in 1970. According to my real car-guy friends... It is exactly that. Everything is hidden...

Durango rack and pinion fit a 71 Challenger without a ton of mods?

Agreed. Pinto parts, just don't sit well with me.

    Shaker hood

True, but it was the only fresh-air hood for the S/S class guys. They were a bit "inventive", when they used them. The AAR hood didn't have enough room for those AFB's on a Rat-Roaster.

Durango rack and pinion fit a 71 Challenger without a ton of mods?

BIG Hotchkiss bars. I think they are over a inch.... It's been a long time since I ordered them. I'm guessing a set of small-block bars would work with this engine.

Durango rack and pinion fit a 71 Challenger without a ton of mods?

Big sway-bar is a good move. My torsion-bars are too big for my gen III hemi, and I'll have to install a smaller diameter set, to get more ride quality/ride-height adjustability. That seems to be the only miscalculation I made in the front-end.

    Ma's `cuda. A long time coming.

He's not really "my dad", anymore. He's a crippled old man, who kinda looks like him. I should have finished this long ago, when he would have remembered. This kinda defined where he's at, mentally.
