    I wasn't happy with the texture, So I did another application of material a light sanding and a clear coat. Its ready for install. It turned out way better than I thought it would.

    I just finished restoring a dash pad from a 73 challenger, I used a flexible epoxy adhesive and colored truck bed liner, I think it turned out pretty good

    Need wiring advice with Hotwire Auto Harness

    I have been having a similar issue with my set up Turned out to be 1 wire in the can box in the wrong place. such a relief to hear it roar to life. makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Big thanks to Chris at hotwire for helping me figure it out

    How many of you are doing your own restoration versus having someone else do the work ?

    I hear that! that's why I put in a lift before I started the restoration , It's made things so much easier especially when working by myself.

    Slap stick shifter mods

    Has anyone had any success modifying the slap stick to work with a 545rfe transmission? I'm trying to use a cable from a durango and changing the throw to be the same, so far so good.     I'm using an original ebody steering column and need to adapt to a double d universal. Does anyone make a splined adapter to fit the stock shaft?

    I will get one and post it for you. I made sure there's plenty of room for trans cooling lines and such.

    What transmission to plan on using?

    The 545rfe needs a big place to live. See the thread above. I bought the engine and trans together. It took a lot bigger hole than I expected, But it will be worth it in the end, I plan on driving this thing alot.
