Be wary of the technical advice given.
Use the idler for a 70 fury to correct the geometry. If the fury idler hits the exhaust you have other problems!

please post 8 spark plugs pics and specify the six pak set up...jetting, plates, timing, fuel levels, plug wires, coil, ignition box, thermostat temp, coolant mix, operating temp, radiator cap, lubricants in trans and rear end
Based on the factory design your link is not in the correct position - i will be surprised if the speed is properly controlled as the wrong geometry makes the servo cycle the throttle position. All my cars and cars i built for others had factory cruise control - btw cruise was a dealer installed...

btw do not use stainless steel line unless you like...
cruise works on a six pak only if you install a lost motion link at the carb - I have only ever seen one ctr 6 pk carb with the hole for the lost motion link. I have seen cruise on a six pak where the hole for the lost motion link was added - carefully.

afr is different for the type of fuel ethanol vs non ethanol it's posted on the web.
Cruise afr is wayyyyyy too rich - vaccuum advance distributor and the proper curve is needed
all #'s are fat as well - car dependent but find where lean is and work back

That is quite an entitled point of view...are you a lawyer? Show me the legality of that and how it plays out in court. BTW fender tags and BC sheets are not a legal item like the VIN therefore do not "belong" to anyone like the current owner.
The steering box is not centered in the k frame, the box needs to be shimmed to correct the center-line angle. This will correct the tie rod distance. Simple geometry
