    Fuel filter/separator Questions

Looks like the vapor separator does its job…. But my question is did the 1970 440 engine also come with a fuel filter after the vapor separator? From the factory. It’s confusing from the manuals and resto guides

    Fuel filter/separator Questions

I finally pulled out the service manual but of course its very confusing. In the “Maintenance” section is show a fuel filter, but not the vapor separator. In the “Fuel” section is only shows the vapor separator. My Dave Wise manual is not clear if there is a filter, or not. Can anyone...

    Fuel filter/separator Questions

I want to use my original vapor separator. Car is for occasional cruising. Questions: 1. Is using my original a good idea in the first place. Should I only use a new repro? 2. If I use my original, what is optimum way to clean it out internally without damage. Carb cleaner for example? 3. Does...

    Tach reading too high

Thanks Guys, I could convert to new electronics, but concerned I would mess up my original Tach face. I’m just cruising with it so I’ll just live with it. Guess its better it reads too high than too low !!

    Tach reading too high

My original Rallye gauge tach is reading about 2 times too high. Set the idle RPM to about 850 (using 30 year old Sun meter) and the dash tach is showing about 1400. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Instrument Lighting Issues

Yes, there is a light for the key and the map light near the glove box if you have the A01 Light Package option I just found out also about the relay. See the schematics above from the members that show which circuits are on this relay

Anyone suggest LED replacement bulbs for the Rallye light bar that are a bit brighter than the incandescent bulbs but not too bright? or does LED totally change the green hue through the plastic lenses?

    Instrument Lighting Issues

Rallye Gauges and A01 package. Map Light, Ignition Switch Light and Light over Headlight Switch Panel not working. Maybe having to do with this relay shown in the picture? Not seeing it in the electrical diagrams but I’m sure it’s there. Let me know if this could be the culprit and the name of...

    Black Phospate at Home

Well now I have another question. According to the Mopar Restoration guide, many of the bolts/fasteners with a black finish were “Phosphate”. What I read comparing Black Phosphate to Black Oxide is that Phosphate is more of a matte finish (which would look more factory correct), and is very...

    Black Phospate at Home

Anyone find a home black phosphate kit that does a decent job? Want to do a bunch of my car fasteners but read many mixed reviews on the DIY kits. Many say the color comes out brown or grey and not black. Thanks
