    Bought a 72 Challenger, turns out it's a 73!

Back in the late 1980s I purchased a 1969 Road Runner convertible. The car was a '69 model year car, and the VIN showed it as a '69. But on the title it was listed as 1968. It was a very early '69 Road Runner so as volunteer stated above, if your car was an 'early built' 1973 car the DMV might...

WTB My original 1970 383 HP F engine and 4 speed transmission

Looking for my original 1970 F 383 HP engine and 4 speed transmission, VIN stampings must be 0B255521. I heard that near Chicago in the 1970s the early owners of my Challenger R/T convertible pulled the original running 383 engine and 4 speed transmission together. They then got a 1970 B body...

Hood pops up a little from road vibration

I'm gonna drive my car to work tomorrow and have the machinists look at the hinge. Hopefully they can make hardened rivets and fix the issue. Yeah, after 50 years and 93k miles the hood has seen a lot of vibration! Sorry about your knees, I'm sure that's no fun. Thanks again.

Hood pops up a little from road vibration

Thank you all for your valuable input. I work with people in a machine shop. I'll have them look at it and see what they say it can be fixed or rebuilt. What's nice is if it can be rebuilt they'll rebuild it for no charge. Thanks again, members!

Hood pops up a little from road vibration

Thanks for that information, Rich G. I appreciate it. I guess after 50 years it has been worn out.

Hood pops up a little from road vibration

My 70 Challenger hood is flush with the driver's side fender when parked. When I drive it vibration from the road makes the hood pop up about 1/2" in the rear. When I stop I push it back down but once I start driving again it pops back up. I have the hood hinge bolted down as far as it will go...

    Undercoating

If you can search on your TV for Graveyard Carz, there was an episode from this season that even showed how/where to undercoat. I can't recall if they mentioned the brand that they used but Mark Worman had the original factory books with sketches of the factory undercoating. Good luck!
