Never thought of that. I appreciate the offer but I got a whole box of those from my truck pulling days. Let me go dig them out and compare. Thanks again, your a genius.
On a non rallye dash light bar, there is a light with a blue cover. I believe it’s either an additional gauge light or a map light. Anyone my cover is cracked and I’m not sure if anyone reproduces the part or anyone might have a good used one. I have attached a picture for some help. Thanks men.
Well not much progress has been made, came home with a truck load of parts from the nationals. Have put most of the wiring in the car. I am happy to report that I got the radio and the instrument cluster back from instrument specialties this week. I snapped a few pics but I’m going to leave them...
I remember being that age and how I knew everything and how my old man just didn’t know nothing when he tried to tell me stuff. I remember about 9 years later apologizing to him and telling him he was the smartest man I knew. A couple years after he passed, his buddy told me how we was both...
I just didn’t want to seem like I was trying to run the young feller off. Believe me when I mentioned earlier that I have been poor my whole life and the trying to save a buck has actually cost me more than just buying a car already done. There is so many parts on these cars that Are not...
The knowledge on here is unprecedented to no other website out there. I wasn’t trying to run the young guy off, just saying it takes a mountain of money to get one back to original condition.
I agree 100%, when I was a kid there was 3-4 mopar only junk yards and you could walk in and get whatever you needed. Now like I mentioned earlier, it’s like a treasure hunt just to find every single part you need. I’ve even ordered parts and they not be good enough for what I’m trying to do and...
X2 this young man is the hobbies future. I wasn’t trying to run him off, just trying to help him save some money. Also I would just like to recover the cost of my time searching for parts. I try to stay original, I might have have 5-6 hours of time looking for a single part. That’s phone calls...
There is cheaper drag car projects out there also. I’m not up to date on the cost of an ebody drag car project but I just bought a 73 duster with a 340/727 that someone gave up on for 800.00. I hope to be going down the track for less than 6k when it’s complete. Sorry for the long winded posts...
also like mentioned above if your looking for a drag car it might be worth it, here is two more examples of cost. I just paid my bill for the dash pad to be redone and it was 24xx.00, the bill for the instrument cluster and the radio was 2600.00 and I paid 1800.00 for a completely restored non...
The gentlemen on here have way more knowledge and experience then me but I am on my second cuda Restoration. My advice is save your money and pay for a complete one, or one that has everything. The cost of the missing parts add up. I just paid 900.00 for two complete front seats. I still have to...
I think we will be at a standstill again about a week or so after the nationals. The big hold up is the instrument cluster, radio and dash pad. I should have sent these items off as soon as I took them out of the car, but instead I waited till end of May to ship them out. The dash pad has a five...
Thank you. Progress has kind of stalled for the moment. I’m out of parts. I didn’t think we would be this far along so I delayed shipping on a ton of parts in favor of having them delivered to the mopar nationals. So not much progress has been made in about three weeks or so. Here it sits in its...
Maybe people opted for the ones above in the eBay link and the dealership got them from the local parts store and installed them. Just a thought. The packaging says made in America.
