    Moper Rescue

Welcome and cool project. I personally usually like the 70's and 80's customs, but this was not one of the better jobs. It looks much better with what you have done with it now. Keep us posted on progress.

    A66 Challenger Registry

It's crazy how much larger the newer Challengers are when compared to the older Challengers when side by side like this. Here are a couple of my Challengers also.

    More Room Better Ride?

I agree, but I was able to get it all for free. So, it didn't cost me anything, but a weekend of my time. Again, I do prefer it for the reasons I listed for simplicity mainly.

    More Room Better Ride?

I am running a RMS AlterKation kit on my blue 70 Challenger. It's about 10 years old now with 1000's of street miles and plenty of passes with no issues. Mine has no motor mounts as I made my own front and mid plates. I like it because I was able to Weld up my 3 piece Hooker Super Comp headers...

    Interior Paint

My blue 70 Challenger was a original blue interior car with a blue painted frame. Previous owners had painted, dyed and replaced everything with black interior so I just kept it black at this point. Obviously, there is nothing stock about the car now.

WTB Holley Six Pack Carbs- Reproduction, Rebuilt, Partial Set, Let Me Know (even a SBC or BB Chevy carbs)

They are getting more difficult to find and getting very costly. I just spent close to a year gathering up all of the carbs and components for another one of my six pack set ups. I now have everything to swap it over during the winter.

    Winter Storage Question

I don't do anything special. I change the oil before winter to have fresh oil with no fuel or contamination in the oil all winter. Top off all the fluids, disconnect the battery and throw the car cover over them.

FINALLY, after 9 years of sitting, restoration resumes on my '73 Hemi Challenger!

Nice project. I think I remember that car when it was back in Michigan. I almost did the same with my R/T hood by raising the center section as you have, but decided on my Super Shaker instead.

    340 Exhaust Manifolds Coming Soon

Did I miss it somewhere? Are they available yet and how much are the pair?

    New to the forum

Welcome. Nice work so far. Engine looks killer. The Caltracs work awesome. I have them on my blue 70 Challenger. I was never a fan of the tail stripes on Challengers. I just thought they didn't flow with the angles of the side marker lights and bumper ends withinthe stripe. However, now that my...

    426 Hemi Air Cleaner

Agree with above. No, with a flat hood. Yes, it will clear with a dual scoop Cuda hood if all stock parts otherwise. However, you will have to modify the base for the larger Edelbrocks 5-1/8" diameter carbs. Mine as pictured above from Challenger RTA is obviously nothing as stock. So, nothing...

    shackle bushings

I made my own solid front leaf spring and rear shackle bushings out of 6061-T6 aluminum on my blue Caltrac street/strip 70 Challenger. It actually doesn't ride much, if any stiffer then my stock suspension rubber bushings red 70 Challenger.

Hi, new Mopar guy… new to the site.

    Welcome and nice Challenger.

    Hot Big Block?

Mine move a ton of air. Mine actually blow your pants legs if standing like 10' behind the car while they are on. I think they are like 4600 cfm. It is the coolest runshroud. On the street in my fleet and makes more than double the horsepower than my next highest horsepower car does. Runs much...

Yes, they definitely become part of the family. 38 years and 254,000 plus miles in August for my red Charger and I.

    Fuel Line Routing

I have -12 braided line run along the outside of my frame connectors with no issues from the fuel pump to my fuel log.

Need help seeing if this is worth it

You are the next generation to help continue this hobby. When I was 16 and my younger years. I bought worse than this car. Everything can be fixed and or replaced. Yes. At what cost? This is how I learned to do everything myself was buying projects or parts cars and restoring/building them from...
