Mounting hardware for front valance air shield

Herb's used to sell this kit. Seems like it would be easy to piece together at an auto parts store.

    My Challenger is too loud!

I agree with @Chryco Psycho, adding resonators would definitely quiet the exhaust with very little to no effect on performance!

    Are kids fatter now?

They're definitely "fatter"! The trunk on the newer Challengers is huge! You could easily put a couple golf bags (3?) in there! Both the old and new have a pretty much worthless rear seat area though! Especially if your tall and have the seat back as far as it can go. Dodge did a great job...

    70 Cuda & Autotwirler Rotisserie

As long as your not replacing front or rear subframes or the roof, you won't need any door bars. True story! I was working on my Boss's (wife) 69 Chevelle Malibu and I had the front end up on jack stands. I couldn't open the door because of body flex! Mopars with their unibody construction are...

    Pinion Nut Size

As long as you don't over think it! 🙂

Why all the hype? 4 speeds

Four speeds are fun when driving on open roads with light to no traffic, but in heavy traffic and hilly conditions (think cities like San Francisco) they really cause your left calf to ache! Another plus is most car thieves have no idea how to drive a manual! But then the same can be said about...

    340 Heads intake valves

Since you'll have harden exhaust seats put in, these will clean up nicely with a good valve job and a little surface milling. If you can get them for a good price, snag them! Like you mentioned, they are not as common as they once were.

    340 Heads intake valves

The small block heads with harden seats were 3671587. All the "J", "U" and "O" heads didn't have harden seats.

    340 Heads intake valves

They are 70 or 72 "U" heads used on 340s and have 2.02" intakes and 1.60" exhausts (double verified by @floyd picture). worst case they need a little surfacing, but that will compensate for the thicker Felpro composite gasket. Also long as the rocker tips that contact the valve steams are not...

Any one using TTI shorty headers? I have a few questions.

Shorty headers should be better! And adjusting TTI headers to not hit torsion bars is not uncommon. In TTI's defense, they designed their headers for Mopars built to dimensions! However, we've found out some of our Mopars are half an inch (or more) out of specifications!! Thrust me, Shivvy and...

Thanks @Vaanth , you are more thorough than me! Much appreciated.

    body moldings

@terrywalker I'm glad you didn't break anything! Stay safe! Don't take any necessary risks!

Any one using TTI shorty headers? I have a few questions.

If you're going with the shorty headers, they only come in 1 5/8 tubes. I personally have not used any small block TTI Shorty Headers, but the long tube headers sure fit nice. No issues with the oil filter or Mopar mini starters. Some aftermarket mini starters have weird electrical posts that...

    My sentiments exactly…

I love it gentlemen! I miss that laughing face option! It's multicolored, but will be the original factory Sassy Grass!

    AC restoration or vintage air?

Call Vintage Air. I'm pretty sure they sell a kit the will work with your factory AC dash and switch over to the more modern rotary compressor that uses a double v-belt pulley like original.

    489 case

As long as both are the same splines. They came either 10 splines or 29 splines. At least the 741/742 8 3/4 rears did. Also, the 489 case used a crush sleeve to set the pinion gear depth. If you crush that collar more, you'll mess up the gear mess. They sell a shim kit that you can replace the...

Column Shifter vs Floor Shifting Steering Column

@booyaballer yes, you are correct and can leave it out.

    body moldings

Yes, protective body side mouldings are very hard to find! And when you do find them, pretty expensive. The option was V5* where * is the color.

73 barracuda roof to quarter panel seem repair?

If you don't mind spending a little more money, Ever cost Rage Ultra is actually a little easier to sand and is more flexible than regular Bondo. Since the seem between the quarter and roof is pretty long, a more flexible filler might be better.

360 roller block and fuel system theory

I have not used Huge's kit, but it will work. Actually I like the idea of using the 85 water pump housing. It will make the engine look more like an original instead of later model magnum. Stealth! 😁
