Science Friction: Squeezing the snake out of the oil!

Very good videos. I have never used a break-in oil because by the time I assembly everything, check clearances and tolerances, run the oil pump with a drill motor while turning the engine by hand, the engine is pretty much broken in! I still use STP which some claim is not good, but I built...

    Monster Wheels on E-bodies...

What a sad world we would live in if everyone liked the exact same thing?! Back in the day, it was race slicks or tire spin as the factory polyglass biasply tires just would not hook up well! Heck you could soon the right rear tire with a slant six! Personally, I like what will fit without...

    Hello from California.

Welcome to FEBO from the desert! Nice 70 Cuda! How about these from Roseville Auto? https://www.rosevillemoparts.com/product/70-mopar-big-block-383-440hp-4406-valve-covers-pair/ Or post in the Wanted To Buy forum

    Challenger door window tracks

There are some oddball items that are 70 early only. Then some things just 70 only that sometimes spilled into early 71 cars. My guess is you have two different years, but as long as the rollers correspond to the matching track, you should be fine. Remember, these cars are 52 to 56 years old now!

Why all the hype? 4 speeds

Compared to other makes, Mopar blessed us with the nearly indestructible 833 4 spd and 727 automatic transmission! We can count our blessings and remember that even though our cars cost a little more to maintain, they last a lot longer! The push button 413/426 maxwedge automatics were tough to...

Let's hear from the desert & Florida guys?

Been mid-70' here the past week. I've been re-engineering the disc brake conversion for my 64 Imperial because I didn't like the thin tapered roller bearings the kit used. So now going to 94 Dodge 1500 rotors (same wheel bearings as the Imperial) and modifying the caliper adaptors. I actually...

Arizona 1970 Challenger RT going RestoMod

There is something about a stroked big block that sounds better than a GEN III hemi in my book! 😁

Arizona 1970 Challenger RT going RestoMod

Welcome to FEBO from the desert about 140 miles southeast of you! Stroker 440 or Gen III hemi? Flip a coin! Both are fun and will make gobs of torque! 😁 And folks here have done both and will help answer questions which ever way you decide.

    383 oil pan

The main thing with motor oil is to change it regularly. If you need a new pan, 440 Source has some good ones! I've bought multiple pans from them. Also, the original pan was 4 quart (one quart in the big old oil filter) and the 440-6 and Hemi pans were 6 quart (one quart in the filter). So...

Hilarious. My car is 180 degrees from this…

Lots of parts have been swapped on my 70 Challenger because I put about 170,000 miles on it as a daily driver for twenty years! But this is a place for concurs matching Mopars!

    1970 cuda hood

I have only bought AMD sheet metal, however I have bought other OER products (windshield wipers, window crank assemblies, throttle cable) and I'm happy with them. It will probably need some prep work before painting, but so does AMD.

    @Katfish I'm missing this button: 😂

    AAR resto

🙁 Don't really see how it's in specification according to the factory service manual. Sigh! Yes we seem to be stuck lately with inferior craftsmanship on car parts!

    AAR resto

So CNC isn't going to replace their out of spec crankshaft? Well they just went on the Mopar ****list! Is there any machine shop near you who might be able to fix CNC's fubar crankshaft? Sorry, .030" on one throw may be OK, but it doesn't belong on a Cuda like yours!!

If it's to good to be true. It probably is!

I don't think I would want to be near anyone outside who has been struck by lightning more than once! Especially since I'm pretty tall (6'3")! I agree, lotteries are a scam. I think a better solution for raising money for a charity is a 50/50 raffle! The charity will get half and the one lucky...

Let's hear from the desert & Florida guys?

I don't think my thermometer goes negative numbers! I do have a mercury thermometer on the back patio. Seriously, what do you do when it's 0°F or below? I don't see how you could do anything outside!

    Pics of some updates

Part of that knowledge is yours now! 🙂 When you recover a little from the money you've spent, you can get a clutch fan from Mancini. https://www.manciniracing.com/viscousfan.html

It's built like it should have a piece of rubber at the one end.
