Most people drive these cars sparingly, so a 4 speed is great when you do drive them. Theres nothing like going trough the gears. I own a 4 speed and love it. If it was a daily driver, then maybe an auto would be just as nice. Maybe not!
I need to get me an auto and find out (never owned one).
I put a new carpet in years ago, 4 speed, and it layed down tight on the hump and down the sides. Do you think that you have an auto carpet instead of manual?
I have 17x8" rims with 245/45/17 tires all around with no problems. I like the stage 3. Other members here and other sites recommend the stage 3 and its not stiff at all, but nothing like the original.
I like it.
I went with a firm feel stage 3 steering box and fast ratio firm feel Pittman arm. I have a 70 challenger, but firm feel recommend a large diameter arm since its stronger. If you go with the fast ratio arm, be aware that you cannot run headers. I have a 440. Don't know if it affects a small block.
When you put the car in reverse (4 speed on floor), the column turns to lock it and take out the key. How do you adjust it so it dosent slide out if reverse?
Everything works except even after I take out the key, if I move the shifter, it will still come out of reverse. Seems like an adjustment...
