    Fuel Starvation/Tank Issues

Awesome idea!! At first I thought that the old gas I pulled out initially was colored from varnish. I think that the red color is actually tinting from the failed lining, and that the sock itself is clogged with chunks of said dried snake oil.

    Fuel Starvation/Tank Issues

I didn't think about That that is what happened here makes total sense...there is really nothing else to account for the type of blockage I am experiencing, unless the coating flaked off AND rusted underneath.

    Fuel Starvation/Tank Issues

Yes, thank you. I ran a test last night, and it is really looking like a tank issue. Another post suggested that the lining may have degraded to block the sock, and that makes a lot of sense. This tank has been a tremendous consumer of time and comprehensive source of aggravation(Edit...

    Fuel Starvation/Tank Issues

That is an extremely interesting theory, that the lining could have degraded with its fines blocking the sock.

    Fuel Starvation/Tank Issues

Yes, thank you. The pushrod is 3.16 inches, within tolerance. Like the pump, I contemplated getting another, but have read aftermarket pieces have issues. I ran a test last night using an external electric pump, and it struggled mightily to get a tiny amount of the 8 gallons in the tank out...

    Fuel Starvation/Tank Issues

In what way are you thinking the float can be in play? I have been holding off pulling the sending unit as it has been an incredible and repeated ordeal with leaking. I did just learn that Permatex has come out with a sealant for this application.

    Fuel Starvation/Tank Issues

Hello all, I am writing about an issue of fuel starvation in my 1974 383 Challenger. Background: The car had not been run in quite a while, as I spent the winter rebuilding the front suspension. I had a suspicion that the gas in the tank had gone bad, so I did a test start/run by...

Opinion on tear in Caliper dust boot

Thank you for your response. The tear was much worse looking once it came out, and am glad I changed it. Good idea, I have the backs yet to do, and will flush at the dot 3 out.

Opinion on tear in Caliper dust boot

Thank you, the kits are stupid cheap on Rock Auto. Thinking about it, would you be old enough to remember how auto parts stores used to use caliper pistons as ash trays on their counters? Ours did!! :)

Opinion on tear in Caliper dust boot

Accidentally dropped this Caliper and noticed a tear in the boot. Do you guys think it is acceptable for install, repairable as it sits, or fatal and must be replaced? Most kind

Unexplained gap in torsion bar socket

Thank you so very much for your comments. End play makes sense, as does the fabrication holes. I'll dress the bar and slap it back in tonight.

Unexplained gap in torsion bar socket

Hello and good day, I have a question for the group on my torsion bar installation. I have a 74 challenger, which originally came with a 318/904, and I replaced these with a 383/727. Front steering and suspension steering updates: New Upper control arms, bushings and ball joints, Have...

Just discovered K Member issues requiring welding.

Thanks for your reply, didn't the Hemi K frame have such welding done to it, maybe torque boxes?
