    Booster problem? Pedal doesn't return.

I really want to take this thing for its first drive and sest the rings. Brake pedal isnt returning past about halfway. Bottom half of the throw it feels fine but the top half it swings free after a partial return. It sits low enough without pressure the brake lights come on. I bled them and...

Does anyone stock TTI headers or are they all drop ship?

Ordered a set of TTIs for my new engine almost a month ago from Mancini. Checked on the order a couple days ago because they haven't arrived yet, Mancini just emailed me back saying that TTI is "Out of C4 coating and the expected ship date is 4/17" Is there anywhere that stocks TTI or is it...

    New 512 build planning

Dang, the cost of this is skyrocketing as I research. I went from "I want to put a cam and heads on my mostly stock 440" to a full stroker rebuild after finding magic sparkles in the oil last month. 😂 I dropped off a good '78 440 block at the machine shop yesterday and spent 45 minutes or so...

Committed to building a new 440 for my car. How to choose a block?

I'll be having lots of questions, more than I already have  .This will be the first build from the bottom up I've done. The car currently has a 440 in it with what I assume is a good block as I've been driving it all of last summer, but just found metal flake in the oil. No audible knocks...

Tire to fender clearance - how close is too close?

How much tire to fender clearance do you need for the rears? I plan to order new tires in the next day or two and I love the look and stance of my car currently, but the passenger side rear is uncomfortably close to the fender. I can fit my fingers in the gap, barely, but can't move them...

WTB Mopar sheet metal for shop wall art

I've got a shop art idea but need some cool old patina sheet metal off an old mopar. I don't want something that can be used for a restoration since my plan will "destroy" it, but I'd love to find a still identifiable piece to work with. Quarter or fender or door skin or hood maybe? High impact...

    Dog dish/poverty caps.

Has anyone used either of these? They both have reviews saying they're easy to damage while putting on. I'd prefer the redline version but they're out of stock and/or WAY more expensive. They're going on a not-at-all stock Challenger so I'm not overly worried about not being for the correct...

Mechanical oil pressure gauge reads 40 lb when the engine is off, 70-80 when running.

How did I manage to screw that up? I'd get it on a digital gauge with a wiring snafu, but when the engine is off it reads 40 psi, when it's fired up it reads 60-80 depending on temp and rpm. I'd like to have it read properly, even though I know I can just subtract 40 from what it actually...

Cross ram intake - anyone make mock up or resin?

I've always wanted to make a coffee table out of a set of early 60s long ram intakes, but can't talk myself into paying 1500 bucks on ebay for a set. Does anyone make a resin version, or have an old broken unrepairable set laying around to sell me? 😁

Fun local show I went to last summer with my Barracuda.

It's not an E-body, but I had to pick between my Challenger and the 65 Barracuda for this show and since I had just gotten license plates from the DMV I couldn't pass it up. Thrashed on it for a day or two before the show and was able to get it there under its own power. Range was short since...

How much power loss can happen with air filter restriction?

My current intake setup on a mild 440 with 915 heads has a drop base air cleaner and a 2" filter to make it fit under the flat hood. I put a spacer between the intake and carb last spring as a band aid because of some heat issues I was having and now am pretty sure I've solved. The engine...

    Welcome me!

I guess I started off in the wrong order by posting this first: Winter project planning - Stock-ish 440, looking at Trick Flow 240s and a cam. Looking forward to seeing builds, learning new stuff, and I'm sure spending a bunch of money on the stuff you folks recommend and turn me on to...

Winter project planning - Stock-ish 440, looking at Trick Flow 240s and a cam.

Hello all! New to this forum and looking forward to learning a bunch. Looking for a cam and valvetrain suggestion for the below. Last year I mostly "finished" a 20 year project of a '72 Challenger. Many many years ago I took the 440 out of a boat that had been built for that and put it in...
