Thank you for the replies. Currently have the car on the lift ready to replace worn parts. Calling machine shop today to make sure they don’t deck the block. Thanks for all the input. Rick

I pressure washed the motor compartment and discovered this. It looks like work has been done. What is the tag with the number 12 I wonder?

Replacing Idler and Pitman arm on 1970 Cuda

Thank you. Yes it does help. Did Moog make the pitman arm for the small sector box at one time? I have read that the Moog k7075 fits but I have my doubts as if is the correct geometry and shape as the original pitman arm. Any thoughts? Rick

Replacing Idler and Pitman arm on 1970 Cuda

It appears that these are hard to come by or I'm not understanding what I need. My car is a 1970 Cuda with 383 and Power Steering. Is there something i'm missing? I want Moog parts. Rick

    70 Cuda Intake Manifold

I am curious about the original intake manifolds. I have a 70 Cuda which appears that the original owner changed out the intake for an aftermarket aluminum one. Did the cast iron intakes have the VIN on them? To put this back to completely original should I get any BB cast 4 bbl intake...

I ordered all the parts that I could think of at this time to get her back on the road. The motor is going to the machine shop tomorrow for an inspection and freshen up service. This will most likely be a rebuild due to the age and the miles on the car but it will be wonderful! motor stripped...

It turns out that this thing had been sitting for years. She stated that he Son-in-law tried to get it going but had no success. He changed the oil and some wires and such and with this explanation I was not surprised he couldn't get it going. I looked at the carb and saw that it had caught fire...

We came back to the shop with a tow strap, since it was only a block away from the shop, and towed to the shop. I was the one in the Cuda behind the truck..:) I spent the next two days going through this car and documented everything I was finding.

So, seeing what I saw in the above pictures I waited for the woman to come out and talk to us. I did not say anything about wanting to buy the car. The shop owner talked to her about what we could do and told her we would go to lunch and come back and pick the car up to bring to the shop for...
