    73 E body proportion valve

Mine was not bad. Rust outside but not in. I rebuilt it with a kit I forms on line - vendor escapes me at the moment - but I could not get the one plug to seal so I replaced it with a unit off Amazon. Similar to the one classic industries sells but in brass. Same port positions but needed to...

    Rear Valance install

I had new quarter skins but the valence was a touched up original (from another car) - my tweaking was mostly on the quarter and yes it needed a good bit

    rear tail trim HELP

I stripped the anodizing off mine and polished the aluminum. Looks good but not as shiny as anodized. But better than it was

    motor oil

Once my 360 is broken in, I was planning to use Castrol Edge 5W50 which I read on a Vette forum is considered a high zinc oil. I have been using it for years in my '85 2.2 Turbo (also considered flat tappet with its cam followers non roller) and it has done great no cam wear, no wear on the...

PCV Grommet & Valve for Mopar Performance Valve Covers (1 inch hole)

Thanks but ... What I see there is all 1 1/4" OD. There are 1" and 3/4" inch ID . I need 1" OD and 1/2" ID to fit without modification

PCV Grommet & Valve for Mopar Performance Valve Covers (1 inch hole)

Thanks for the reply. Good news is I have a friend with a machine shop so I think I'll try that route if I cannot modify myself

PCV Grommet & Valve for Mopar Performance Valve Covers (1 inch hole)

Sorry to bring back an old thread - but this is exactly the issue I am having. SDChallenger did you find a solution? That Dorman number is only 1/2 " deep overall from their specs. I am contemplating buying that now infamous grommet set and seeing if I can modify the old valve covers to fit.

Replacement for Kelsey Hayes KH 89410 combination valve

I tried the rebuild kit from MCR - worked ok but in the end I just could not get the proportioning valve plug near the bottom to seal. Tried several things - less / more tight - sourced (100) new o-rings - still slow leak when installed. I finally decided to swap it out for a unit I found on...

    Exterior trim material

On my '74 project the only trim I have cleaned and polished so far is the door tops and the trunk lid. Those are aluminum. I used a strong oven cleaner to remove the anodizing first - and even at that to get it to work I scuffed it with 2000 grit first. The polished aluminum looks nice but not...

    EFI VS CARB

Funny - I plan to go EFI when the Cuda is finished for exactly the same reason - no maintenance and improved drivability - I have memories of frequent carb adjustments on my Satellite years back. Other than maybe a throttle body clean every couple years, never really done any maintenance on my...

What are you using for sealant? Coming up on that job in the next couple months - debating if DIY or if I call I guy referred to me.

external fuel pump vs efi tank/pump

Holley makes an in tank pump that uses a special sock with a capability based on surface tension I think. Its designed to work in a tank without baffle. As long as the sock is touching fuel at any edge it can suck it into the pump. Reviews are good on it - that is what I have bought (not...

    Cowl/Firewall to Inner Fender Measurements

I thought I had some before measurements as well - but looking back on my notes I aligned it all around the hood width and checked for square. Worked out well but ended up a little tight on the hood length passenger side
