You are right it is supposed to be a 318 car, but it's a convertible so that makes up for the fact that it's not numbers matching car. I know a guy close by who might have the right parts I just could not figure out what was supposed to go on there. Thanks you have been a great help I think I...
yes I just noticed that when I looked at the fig 88 again I need to move that spring over to the upper bell crank and find the correct kickdown rod thats missing as well as the lower bell crank set up with rod to the trans lever. BTW I bought this car without any proir info or knowledge of what...
On the lower bell crank pivot point the arm on my trans is turned vertical the arm in the picture above is horizonal fig. 88 as far as the part I don't care if it's OEM or aftermarket as long as it works
This is the bottom of my trans fiq 88 at the top shows the exact linkage set up for my 440 Six pack but the bell crank pivot point looks different I have a slap stick auto trans. I asume that lever hanging down is where the kickdown rod should attach not sure still trying to figure this out.
I need some guidance as to how my six-pack linkage is supposed to work, I'm not even sure if it's the right set up, but I know I am missing parts that connect to my transmission (kickdown rod etc..) Is there anyone out there with a 440 six barrel in an E-body 727 trans. who can give me some help.
Well thanks for all the help. I got the front end raised up although not sure if it's too high I'm about 26 inches off the ground to the top of the fender well. I was wondering if anyone out there could measure their car and let me know if that's normal, not too sure, but looks a little too high...
I have 1970 Plymouth Barracuda w/ a 440 and it seems very low to the ground it is supposed to be a 318 car so just wondering if the front engine cradle is wrong and maybe too much weight in the front end can anyone give me some ideas of how far off the ground it should be from the cradle to the...
When I turn on my key before starting the engine my ammeter indicator keeps clicking towards the negative side also when I hit the turn signal on one side it also faintly flashes on the opposite side with the rhythm of the ammeter not sure what's going on. I have been reading about problems with...
I checked the wires at the connector connecting ignition wires I think I only had 1 wire that was reading 12vdc the harness and bulk head look almost new not worn at all. I traced the yellow wire at ign. steering column no vdc
Are you talking about the fuse link at the starter relay if so I have 12vdc on both sides of it all the way down to the starter, but tomorrow I will trace it thru the bulkhead into the car I'm getting voltage at the fuse block but no dash lights and I'm getting power at the side marker lights...
