    Fuel filler door conundrum

That's what I was thinking I needed to do... Put an actual cap inside like that. The car didn't have one on it when I bought it so it would have been evaporating and getting contamination in it. It amazes me that the tank was as clean as it was when I took it out... It was so shiny inside It...

    Fuel filler door conundrum

That rubber seal does not come in contact with the filler neck though in mine. There would definitely be evaporation issues as well as dirt and the moisture getting in to the filler neck. It seems that the filler neck should stick out of the car another inch in order to seal against that rubber...

    Fuel filler door conundrum

Is there supposed to be an 1/4 turn cap on the filler well then?

    Fuel filler door conundrum

I must be overlooking something here. It has been a few years since I purchased the car and took it apart, so I don't know if it was always like this. I have the flip open fuel filler door, and it doesn't seal against the filler neck. The seal on the door is 1" from the filler neck when closed...

    Engine install question

I had thought about take the front wheels off to drop the front end as much as possible. Looking at your diagram of raising the back of the vehicle might may provide a nice entry angle!

    Engine install question

Hello, I'm almost ready to install my engine. I was just wondering on a 1973 Challenger, should I attempt to install it with the transmission attached or without? Small block 340 with 727 automatic. Thanks, Marlon

Oil filter for engine break in

I'm using the entire Driven product line. Assembly lube, assembly grease (for cam and lifters), Driven GP1 30wt break in oil and 10w30 day today oil. I haven't used their products before, but after the research, I believe it's the best choice.

Oil filter for engine break in

Hello, has anyone used a 10 - 15 micron oil filter for engine break in? I can only find filters that are as low as a 21 micron. I honestly don't know how crucial it is to have a finer filter for that initial 20 minute break in. I would be changing the oil and filter after the initial break in of...

    Door panel fitment issue

I got mine from National Moparts in Ontario Canada. I'm not sure who the manufacturer was though, I would have to look into it. I bought them 2 years ago and just putting them on now.

    Door panel fitment issue

Hello, I sure hope someone can help with this. I am putting new door panels on my 73 Challenger but they are about a 1/4 inch too narrow. If I hang them and put the screws in the back, the front screw holes are close to a 1/4" short of lining up. I tried heating the ends with a heat gun and it...

Light at the end of the tunnel

I'll post a few more as I continue...when I took that photo, a front fender was off and the hood was sanded in 2000..lol. The color is actually House of Kolor Voodoo Violet.
