Page 9 of the linked instructions below, line 36, says "To set rev limiter, insert the jumper with desired RPM number into the side of box. Included jumpers were 3000, 6000, 7000, and 8000." I think that's what I have. I'll have to go look at it tomorrow and see if the "jumper" on mine has any...
Nope, that's what I thought too. Went out and pulled it off the fender and looked around it today, that's why it's crooked in the photo. There's a black plug that goes into the side of it towards the bottom of that photo that I think is probably the "button" mentioned in old literature. Some...
I've got the old black Mopar branded MSD 6al box on my car. It's supposed to have rev limiter ability and I've seen reference to 3k, 5k, 6k, and 7k "buttons" to program it. The instructions and any spare parts or "buttons" are long lost 15 or more years ago, probably 20, and I'd like to set up...
I put a bunch of wheelbearing grease around the base of the bleeder if I'm having trouble with air getting in. Seals it up and you get a good bleed.
I also always put in Russell speed bleeders on all four corners of everything I own.
That Paradise fire was wild. From the time it started until the time they started pushing cars over the cliff edge with bulldozers to clear the road was a very short time. Town was half gone by the time they even would have been looking at hydrants. I've worked several of the Northern...
Awesome T/A was there, and a 65 Barracuda that gives me inspiration to finish mine.
Carrman from here on the forum was there today too, with a great Newport, but we didn't manage to run into each other.
That's what I started thinking, no way it would be that uniform and only on the taper, with the bearing contact areas not affected.
Put 60 gentle miles on today and it did great.
Ready for the last show I'll do for the year. Wash and dry in the morning then a half hour drive to the show. Finished the temp fix on the wheel bearing problem and went for a test dirve today and all seems well.
If I didn't love the TA hood so much, I'd keep this flat hood on it. No one would...
I've got it cleaned up enough I csn throw bearings in it and make the show. I'll order the Dr Diff ones and probably upgrade the brakes to 11" while I'm at it afterwards.
I'm not convinced that blue is heat damage. Too uniform, only on tapered portion, scratches off easily, and the other side...
Yep pretty sure I'll order those up. In the meantime, I'm considering throwing new bearings on this one just so I can make the show this weekend. Maybe not. I'll see how it looks tomorrow if I can get the outter bearing on or not.
Wheel bearing ate passenger side spindle this morning, took both sides apart and figure I better replace both for safety. Was hoping to just throw OEM stuff back on for a big show this weekend but not finding any options at any of the big auto parts stores. Summit has a Right Stuff pair of...
