    VIN Sticker - Driver Door

I was watching Vanishing Point for the thousandth time the other day and for the first time I notice a shot where you can see the VIN decal and it is a vertical install so no question and no surprise, the VP challengers were out of the LA plant (or at least 1 of them was).

    1970 one owner Cuda

Talk about "hen's teeth" rare, try finding V5B Blue side molding pieces. :0

    71 Challenger rt 340 4sp # matching car

Here is the Carlisle survivor car I mentioned.

    71 Challenger rt 340 4sp # matching car

Awesome and super rare because of that stripe. There is a very similar car to yours that shows up at Carlisle every year. It is a survivor car and ends up in the survivor tent. Black with the stripe in orange.

Mecum Challenger TA on the block Saturday

I think $53k was just right for the car. Had a number of restoration errors that you could see in the photos.

Mecum Challenger TA on the block Saturday

Lots of restoration errors. I hate when they forget to blackout the decklid under the spoiler. I guess it depends who is in the audience.

FOR SALE T/A 340 long block

When I purchased my first T/A in 1979 it had already blown the original motor and had a warranty block in it. It had no VIN on the raised boss and also had a riveted tag to the side of the block indicating it was a factory replacement. The tag had a few digits stamped into it.

My current project 71 as rusty as they come

So true. For those of us who have been working on these cars for 40 years we can remember when the new stuff dried up at the dealer and we had to fabricate everything. Yes, the AMD stuff is pretty good.

My current project 71 as rusty as they come

Agreed, sheet metal is easy, especially now days with everything available, you don't even have to form the panels anymore. If the rear understructure is straight and in good shape you are way ahead.

    70 Cuda Value

Easy enough to tell. the bottom line on the fender tag is the VIN, BS23N0E113546. You should find this same number on the dash VIN. You should also find a portion of this number (E0 113546) stamped into the car's body, on the back of the radiator support and the upper cowl on the driver's side...

    Does this car Exist?

    Wiring harness suggestions

I just replaced all the harnesses in my T/A. I went through yearone. They sell harnesses by a company called M&N (I think?) Good quality and worked well. It did have the fuse box difference as mentioned above. Watch for YO discount codes to get the price down. I paid $450 for the main harness...

Old News and a SAD Picture of Englishtown Raceway Park

We regularly attended the Mopars at Englishtown during the eighties which were great. I still have many photos.

    Does this car Exist?

Crooked tips, horn ring steering wheel. But the art department did whip up a 71 T/A that confused everyone for years :)

    Looking for my old T/A

Anything usual about it to set it apart from other T/As? Do you remember the build date? Something to narrow it down. Red is one of the more popular colors on T/As.

    1970 15” Trim Ring options

Nothing is like the originals. they are correct in everyway. I used Rick Miller to restore mine. He did a great job, took 5 months, communication wasn't the best, $160 per ring, but you can't argue with the results. This ring had a number of dings and was actually polished. He made it perfect...

Anybody see this AAR Cuda in police auction

And it is a pretty unusual AAR, EV2/V1X but with a tan interior!
  18. jeff968

    Got lucky!

Nice. It could be a black interior car??? If it was a true white interior car the door panels should be white along with the seats. If it is a black interior car then the seats should be black along with the door panels. Couldn't be like it is in the photos so someone changed one or the other.

    70 Challenger R/T

Looking good. I hope you get a vinyl guy to do a new dealership sticker for you. That is awesome that it was still there.

Mecum Dallas Interesting Mopars sold so far!

You missed a FY1 T/A that hit the block Thursday and was a no sale at $52k. Looked nice but had many detail issues.
