Was rebuilt in the summer of 2011 by professional performance shop. 2500 Torque converter/shift kit. Converted my '71 Challenger to a 4 speed... Very low miles on transmission while in use from 2011 to last year. Asking $1800. Pickup only in northeast New Jersey
This is for 71/72 so it is too long for the Challenger. Looks like I will be trading the rear for motor-work, which I need to have done on the 440. She was built for the track and has a giant cam with a double-pumper 800, etc. I want it more "streetable" so I can enjoy it and go on longer...
It was built in August of 71 which most likely makes it for a 72. I am brining it to a local speed-shop this week because the guy who owns it is interested in getting the rear for his b-body car. We will work-out a deal for a "swap" of the rear for motor-work; new cam, lifters, carb, etc.
I just bought a 71 Challenger R/T with a modified 440, automatic with a 3000 rpm stall converter, Sure Grip rear (came with a Dana 60/4.56 for a B-body-Roadrunner which was on the car and I will be looking to sell or trade it for a Dana 60 for an E-body). I am still trying to find out more...
