    Most Delicate Way to Remove Hood Popup Spring?

    BTW...The pop-up spring should not be painted body color. It was Zinc Phosphate plated - - a blackish/dull finish. If you remove the paint, it may look OK, but if not, you can spray it with OER Underhood Detail Paint [K89540] spray paint from Classic Industries.

    Are you really riding around on 22 year old tires??!! Tire manufacturers recommend replacing after 7-9 years, regardless of mileage. I suppose spending a lot of time garaged helps extend the rubber life, but I remember opening my trunk once to find the used 14 year old spare tire completely...

    Very common to have another car's Broadcast Sheet in your car. Check out The 1970 Hamtramck Registry Home Page. This great website has a wealth of information, and the dedicated owner has Broadcast Sheets that people find and send to him - - maybe you original is there.

    reverse indacator light wire location

    You have to look in the smaller BODY manual for this wiring. My 1972 shows it on the body 8-pin harness wire B2-18V [violet color] going to the rear backup lights / Instrument Harness side wire 18W* [white with tracer]. Hopefully your 70 is the same.

    72 Challenger Front Drum Availability

    Has anyone found 10" front drums for a 72 Challenger? Can't find them listed in any auto parts stores or Rock Auto. Hard to believe they are not made anymore, forcing us to do a disc conversion.

    If I did it again, I probably would have gone with the '72 light gunmetal metallic. As it was, I ordered my 72 Challenger in GY8 metallic gold. See attached - - still original owner.
