MOPAR harness is the same. had to mount pass firewall in engine bay. I routed the "inside" harness through a smallish hole i drilled in the inner fender well, less noticeable and came in high on the firewall inside the cabin. Good luck.
You might try looking at MMX or Flyin Ryan Performance, Texas Speed also has kits and CAMs. Just a few off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are others.
5.7/6.1 potatoe, potato, lol. pretty close to each other. you can put a 6.1L intake and coil covers on a 5.7 if ya want for a lot less than $3000. NOW for the real opinion on the matter. go with a 545rfe transmission. The NAG1 is a great transmission, but it does require a lot more to use it in...
Alot of the Holley products for the Cuda swaps have been discontinued, FYI. I am using some of their products on my 392/8 spd swap and while a decent fit, I did need to make a relief cut in my tunnel and then make a cover for the 8 spd to fit. Thier engine mounts put the vent tube for the trans...
Not certain, but I would look into using a 545RFE transmission, It's a bit larger than a 727/904 in the tail housing area, but i think with the right motor mounts and tranny mount you can get it to fit without cutting the trans tunnel (may need some BFH persuasion in a few spots, lol) also check...
yeah I'd say a little clearancing will be ok and so long as your pinon angle and Tali shaft angles still look good, go for it. but do keep in mind, the crossmember bracket is part of the torsion bar structural member, so don't clearance too much, as it could create a weak spot/flex point there.
maybe could try loosening the motor mounts, then raise the transmission and see if it still pulls to the right. (might be bound up a bit) Also the transmission mount might help pull it back over to the left when installed, but again I would loosen the motor mounts first. Dos Centavos.
ah ok yeah basically the stock line set-up. I have that. The issue I had was the nipple on the transmission itself stuck out too high (hit trans tunnel right at the seam weld) and was crushing the 90deg elbow.
Are you using a car 8hp70 or a truck 8hp70?? The truck tail shaft coupler will hit with the Holley mount, as will the rear of the casing on the torsion bar hoop (will need to be shaved down, has extra "meat" webbing for installing a 4x4 transfer case, even the 2wd model) Car will be fine. The...
Came with hardware, bolts. I bought factory manifold gaskets (MLS) from the dealer, just my preference. I used a dab of antisieze, stainless bolts into aluminum heads, I plan on checking and retorquing them after several heat cycles and probably every 6 months or so after that until I'm sure...
Just got rid of the oil cooler and used a 45deg adapter (truck) there is a hellcat 90deg style now that comes with fittings for a remote oil cooler. Might switch to that later. My low pro blackheart headers fit fine with my power steering unit, tight but fine. but I did use the Holley motor...
