    From what I remember the locking plate is about an 1/8". But I think the bushing it is mount to is a lot thicker. I could be completely wrong. I not going to take mine apart to see. I don't remember if it's pressed fit, welded or keyed.

    I think you answered your problem. The lock plate is about 1/2" to 5/8" in thickness. You will have to make a spacer or bushing up. We all go with the assumption everything is there.
