My 451 race build I made a run with a 1050 Dominator. E.T. was same, but did pickup alittle on bigend. So yes, its a win. But with a street motor? Most I found is one just uses more fuel.
The Dominator series is named for that. Race engine builds. They can be sluggish and difficult to fine tune. Even a moderately built street application. With today's quick flow and DP 4150 style options? I would not recommend Dominator line for a street car.
I can take it a step further. I...
Thought I would post for those looking? He's asking $8900
I've seen worse for more. But be that as it may, its still an undertaking.

On engines. At least in the big block world. The upper head rocker arm shaft design on Mopars is superior to GMs ball stud design. It distributes stress more evenly across the head. While giving more valve room. This design is more expensive on production numbers. But too bad Chevy guys!
The...
Welcome. And that certainly looks to he an above average shape starting point for a build. Which of course is all good. Feel free to post more pics and descriptions. Like a shot of under carriage. Which almost always tells to tale of future effort.
For me is the body lines. They are more aggressive and pronounced. Thus why they are able to support wilder color combos.
Mopar's drive train. From the 426. Thru the A833 trans which is unparalleled in toughness for a 4-speed. To the Dana 60 rear. Sorry Ford 9" lovers. I know they are easier to...
Not in terrible shape. Mid performance base '340. 4-speed (Big plus) Runs and drives. Does need work as one can see. But I've seen worse asking for more. Thought I should throw this out here on E-bodies.

I bought with that. The story was some farmer did the work. It isn't super difficult. I heard he began then doing this a a side gig. I bought the car for $10g. Ran it a year until 451 went tired. I rebuilt. Ditching the iron 452 heads for Brodex B1/BS. New pistons, aluminum rods and cam. Went...
I think a 318 original is a no brainer for a performance upgrade. I too use the stock 440 manifolds. They actually flow very near headers in near stock builds. (It's why they sound so cool.) Things change if one wishes to punch up the BB.
My A-body '74 Duster has the now classic 451 stroker...
Besides. If GTX is upsetting? You all are going to hate my E-body build? Bought as a rolling body 18 years ago. A V-code '70 Cuda. It was so heavily modified for a Pro Stock attempt by a smaller Wisconsin team back in the mid 70s? With its original 440-6 and 4-speed long gone? I began a Pro...
No. I didn't buy to try to restore back to original. That was the point. This replaced a very simular GTX I had to sell many years ago. We didn't restore them. We built for better performance. The collectors in my opinion are missing the entire point of Muscle car ownership and appreciation...
Yeah. But neither are the sale sites? Because of the auction sites? Possibly.
E-bodies started the Hugh spike some 5-7 years ago. And it caused a mad scramble for all muscle car era options. In the B-body world? It's Gen II Chargers. They sold nearly 300,000 of them back in the day. But today...
I believe the $30k-$40k are doing well? Everyone wants that price range. The problem is that junk has now moved into that range because of demand. I bought my current B-body (Quick walk around vid below) 3 years ago for $21k. Non numbers matching (But period correct) '69 GTX 440-4speed Dana...
